It is the appearance of reaching the limit of awareness. Thus, it is said in the Transcendent Intellect, "By the appearance of reaching the limit of awareness, the path appearance of realizing the three bodies is transcended." And also in the Clear Expanse, "By the appearance of reaching the limit of awareness, the graspable and the grasper, the material, are liberated." Therefore, it is said. Fourth, the appearance of the exhaustion of reality: Again, by diligently practicing, all bodies and realms, without cessation, by the term, all grasping of philosophical tenets, and all increase of experience are exhausted, the material body is exhausted and dissolves into light, speech is exhausted and dissolves into indestructible self-sound, the deluded mind is exhausted and liberated into the Dharmakaya, in the primordial space, it is attained. This is the exhaustion of reality, if diligently meditated, in three years and seven months, the rainbow body, the immutable Vajra body will be accomplished, it is said. As before, by practicing, gradually the appearances dissolve into the realm of reality, in any reality, beyond thought and expression, is called the exhaustion of reality. Although the previous signs are not exhausted and nothing remains, the material and the mental elaborations are exhausted. The two, body and mind, are inseparable, merging into the nature of light, gathered in the rays of compassion, dissolving into the hearts of the five families, thus the path of learning is completed, and the appearance of the essence, primordial purity, is close to being seen. The way of exhaustion is: all appearances of body and realm, also the unchanging self-luminous appearance is not extinguished, in meaning there is no decrease or increase, but when the radiance dissolves into space, empty and not empty, and this is this and this is not, etc., all grasping of philosophical tenets established by terms, and the radiance radiates outwards, the way the clarity dissolves inwards, all increase of external experiential appearances is exhausted, and the inner illusory body is exhausted and dissolves into the light body. At that time, only the finger joints of the hand appear in the light, and nothing else appears as material. Because the speech wind is exhausted, all sounds dissolve into the indestructible self-sound, and because the secret moving wind is exhausted, all the afflictions of the deluded mind, the collection of thoughts, are self-purified, and liberated into the realm of the youthful vase body, and attained in the primordial base space. From that state, if one performs the benefit of beings by that support itself, then the body of great transference appears like a moon in water, and one performs the benefit of beings by the two, being able to control birth and death. Thus, it is said in the Transcendent Intellect: Reality exhaus

Such is the power of perception, it severs the cord of the three realms of samsara. (Tibetan) Such and so on. The perception of the exhaustion of Dharma-nature is when the appearance of perception is exhausted, the body is exhausted, and the realm of the senses is also exhausted. Liberated from the confusion of conceptual thoughts, it is separated from the object of expression. (Tibetan) Such and so on. Thus, after the continuity of the arising and ceasing of the body is cut off, the contaminated aggregates do not appear, and enlightenment can be attained in this very life. (Tibetan) Such and so on. This is the perception of the exhaustion of Dharma-nature. Having entered this path, if one cultivates with great diligence, it will not exceed three years and seven months, and all the external appearances, the inner illusory body, and the conceptual thoughts of secret afflictions will be purified in the nature of awareness, thereby manifesting the rainbow body, the immutable Vajra body. Second, to familiarize oneself with the four boundary instructions, there are four points: establishing the foundation with the three immovables, measuring with the three abidings, fixing with the three attainments, and showing the degree of liberation with the four assurances. The first point is: establishing the foundation with the three immovables. (Tibetan) Meaning that there are three postures for the body's immobility, three ways of looking for the eyes' immobility, and the mind-energy is immovable, vast and without mixture, not departing from the appearance of Dharmadhatu. These three are generally inseparable from practice, and are especially important when Dharma-nature is manifest. Second, measuring with the three abidings, meaning measuring with the three abidings. (Tibetan) Meaning that after such cultivation, external appearances abide, adverse conditions turn into supportive conditions, inner aggregates abide, separated from the actions of delusion, and secret energy-mind abides, and conceptual thoughts naturally cease. These are mainly important when the experience is increasing. At this time, two situations will occur: measuring the degree with dreams, and signs appearing on the body and speech. The first is having good dreams, being able to control the dreams in the middle, and finally dissolving into the clear light Dharmadhatu, and the continuity of dreams is cut off. The signs are: when Dharma-nature is manifest, the body is like a turtle placed in a wooden basin, speech is like a mute, and the mind is like a bird caught in a net. When the experience is increasing, the body is like a man afflicted with illness, speech is like the words of a madman, and the mind is like being poisoned. When awareness reaches its measure, the body is like an elephant stuck in the mud, speech is like a small worm in a pottery jar, and the mind is like a child recovering from a plague.
