Therefore, 'there is a Light Protector' is one extreme, and 'there is not' is another extreme. Light Protector, which of these two extremes is the middle way? This is the middle way of separately observing all dharmas.' Because it is said so. The reason for being free from these two extremes is explained in detail from the perspective of the two truths (conventional and ultimate), the three natures (inherent existence, dependent origination, and imputed nature): 'Parikalpita' and so on, that is, with the discriminating consciousness of existence and non-existence, even though things do not exist, they are attached to them; the arising from causes established by the two valid cognitions (direct perception and inference); and whether the Buddhas appear in the world or not, as the other-powered nature of dharmas, they are emptiness, and these will not change. These three are the three natures. Among them, Parikalpita is the false conventional truth, and Paratantra is the correct conventional truth. Non-dual self-awareness is the affirmative ultimate truth, and merely the non-duality of grasping is the negative ultimate truth of the unconditioned. Conditioned and unconditioned things, in the sutras, have been refuted as being the same or different, so it cannot be said that they are the same or different. Both truths are explanations of things, as the Lankavatara Sutra says: 'Conventional truth and ultimate truth, there is no third arising from causes. Conventional truth is what is grasped by discrimination, that is where the noble ones go.' This is consistent with the above sutra. Non-duality and self-awareness exist without distinction from sentient beings to Buddhas. Master Nagarjuna said: 'Emptiness is not different from things, without it, things do not exist, and there are no things apart from it.' In Vairochana Dorje Zhaba's 'Collected Commentary', it says: 'The so-called emptiness, apart from knowledge, there is nothing else, because the truth has been separated, it is considered inseparable. If it is not so, both are empty, it will become not consciousness, and it will become opposed to non-duality, it will become the master of both. Becoming like that is the suchness nature, which is considered to be the Bhagavan himself. The forms of knowable and knowing completely depend on consciousness.' Therefore, there is no two, but there is non-dual self-awareness, which is the suchness of the two truths to be explained in this treatise. Things like illusions are also considered to appear even though they do not exist. Its nature, self, and three ways of being free from extremes, as the Lankavatara Sutra says: 'The imputed nature of things does not exist, the other-powered nature exists. For those who add and subtract, it is the discrimination of extremes.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Will be destroyed.' Thus it was said. Therefore, the minds that take it as their object are definitely numbered as three, depending on whether they are not mistaken, mistaken, or extremely mistaken. 1-1784 Master Vasubandhu, in his 'Treatise on the Three Natures,' stated: 'The three natures, the wise should know are profound.' The meaning of which is explained in the 'Madhyāntavibhāga': 'The unreal, completely imagined exists; in it, the two do not exist; emptiness exists in it; in it, that also exists.' What is said is that, from the 'Mother Sutra' and others, all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas are neither empty nor not empty, not abiding in either the side of emptiness or non-emptiness, but existing in both. As stated in the 'Madhyāntavibhāga': 'Not empty, not non-empty, therefore all is explained; because of existence, because of non-existence, because of existence, that is the Middle Way.' Nāgārjuna also said: 'Whatever arises dependently, I say that is emptiness; it is also a designation based on cause; it is also the Middle Way.' Establishing the other-powered nature in emptiness is in accordance with Maitreya's view. Therefore, speaking of the three natures is the true Madhyamaka. Third, Refuting the Seeming Madhyamaka That Claims Everything Is Nonexistent. Third, refuting the seeming Madhyamaka that claims everything is nonexistent: 1-1785 Refuting those who think that all other-powered natures are as false as the completely imputed. Svabhāva (藏文:སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,汉语字面意思:self-nature) means self-essence, self-nature, or self-identity. If that does not exist, it will become a great nihilistic view. Explaining 'the dharmas of other-powered entities,' according to you, since both truths lack self-identity, if all knowable things do not exist, then the nihilist has surpassed even the Lokāyata. Therefore, your nihilism is even more extreme, because you say that even what you see does not exist. In the 'Precious Garland,' it is said: 'The nihilist goes to bad destinies; the existent goes to good destinies.' However, if you think that what is destroyed by an antidote or destroyed in an instant lacks a permanent nature, then realizing that becomes an image of the 'Mother,' because the 'Mother' teaches, 'Form is impermanent,' and if you practice that, you are practicing an image of the 'Mother.' If you think that you do not become a nihilist because you accept the power of conventional truths, then what is the use of such a Madhyamaka? The view that self-nature does not exist is lost, and self- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
