And the views of sects, such as the view of obscurations (Tibetan: སྒྲིབ་པ་), the view of increasing non-virtue, the view of non-liberation, the view of fruitlessness, and the view of annihilationism. All these views are generated by pride, so they are summarized as 'the views of sects.' For details, refer to the Sutra itself, or its commentary, or the *Compendium of Abhidharma*. The *Requested by Light Protector Sutra* says: 'It is easy to see a person as Mount Sumeru, but it is impossible to save an arrogant person who sees emptiness.' Therefore, followers should understand the meaning of this acceptance and rejection. Maitreya (梵文:Maitreya), Asaṅga (梵文:Asaṅga), Nāgārjuna (梵文:Nāgārjuna), and Vasubandhu (梵文:Vasubandhu), the great chariot masters, have explained these three natures as the path, and the order of the path is also recorded in the *Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra*: 'First, not clinging to the five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen realms; second, truly contemplating only consciousness; third, contemplating Suchness. Four kinds of formless yogis enter the Bodhicitta.' Thus, after understanding the three natures through hearing and thinking, by practicing the unchanging perfected nature, when the completely imputed and dependent nature are exhausted, one can attain the non-inverted perfected nature, thereby attaining the three bodies. As the *Entering the Three Bodies* says: 'Well understanding the three natures, is the attainment of the three bodies. In short, all-knowing wisdom, can be summarized as cause and effect. What should be realized and what should be attained, are all called ultimate. There is nothing else to be realized beyond this, there is nothing to be attained above this.' The Nirvana with remainder and the Nirvana without remainder, correspond to the Buddha's Rupakaya and Sambhogakaya respectively. Because it is away from all aggregates, the Dharmakaya has no aggregates.' If the *Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra* says: 'If the transformation of consciousness, then there is no dependent nature, nor is there completely imputed. If there is no nature of accomplishment, how does consciousness distinguish?' How should this be explained? This means that if viewed from the unchanging Dharmadhatu perfected nature, there is nothing. But this does not mean that these do not exist in conventional truth. Therefore, the three natures are established in emptiness, just like the completely imputed, the dependent and the perfected are also false, the emptiness of all false things is thus manifested. Then, if the Yogacara and Madhyamaka schools become one school, how should the four ways of becoming a Buddha be distinguished? Knowing that the consciousness without form and with form are different. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Sarvāstivāda (Sanskrit, literally 'those who assert everything exists') and the Sautrāntika (Sanskrit, literally 'those who rely on the sutras'). Those who assert that external objects do not exist, and that cognition arises from beginningless habitual tendencies, appearing as the forms of external objects such as blue, are the Cittamātra (Sanskrit, literally 'mind-only'). Those who proclaim that knowable things have three natures are the Madhyamaka (Sanskrit, literally 'the middle way'). Those who claim that all knowable things are false are the seeming Madhyamikas. As stated in the self-commentary. Thus, the three natures are the Buddha's explanation of the state of knowable things in all three turnings of the wheel of Dharma. Whichever of the four tenets disagrees with this should be understood as incorrect. The intention of the first turning of the wheel is the three natures, as explained by the teacher Guṇamati in the 'Treatise on Establishing External Objects,' which should be understood there. In whichever tenet one can properly distinguish between truth and falsehood in conventional truth, there is no fault of contradicting the three natures. The fifth fundamental point is that in these tenets, Maitreya (Sanskrit, literally 'the loving one') is shown to be the measure of a Buddha in one lifetime. The fifth fundamental point is that in these tenets, Maitreya is shown to be the measure of a Buddha in one lifetime: Through the unerring measure of valid cognition—direct perception and inference—and the Buddha's words, and the treatises composed by Maitreya and others, the three natures are combined and proven, which is the Madhyamaka path here. Because it realizes the meaning of being free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. Therefore, in Sanskrit, it is called Madhyapratipadāsiddhi, and in Tibetan, it is called 'the accomplishment of the Madhyamaka path' or 'the accomplishment of realization.' If asked, how is it proven to be Madhyamaka? The three natures, spoken by the Victorious One (Sanskrit: Jina, literally 'the victorious one', referring to the Buddha), how can Maitreya, the Protector (Sanskrit: Nātha, literally 'protector'), be a measure? It is impossible to negate a measure with a dishonest question. Maitreya, who has become a measure, distinguishes the middle way from the Middle Beyond (Sanskrit: Madhyānta-vibhāga, literally 'distinguishing the middle and the extremes'), because these three are explained as the Madhyamaka. If someone says that it is an explanation of the meaning of the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra and others, and the meaning of the Prajñāpāramitā is this Madhyamaka where everything is false. Then, the activity of the Dharmakāya is shown through the three natures. In the twenty-second of the twenty-seven chapters, entering into the non-perverted or abandoning the perverted, Maitreya asked the Bodhisattva who practices yoga, 'How should one train from form to Buddhahood?' The Buddha taught the method of training through the three natures, in which, for the Buddha and Maitreya, in the imputed (Sanskrit: Parikalpita, literally 'to be completely conceptualized') form to Buddhahood, there is actually no substance. While the dependent (Sanskrit: Paratantra, literally 'dependent on others') those... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ནི་རྫས་སུ་
