All views that arise from the latter will decline and increase. All these twenty-seven views are views of manifest pride, because they are aroused by non-veridical manifest pride. Therefore, in that very sutra it says: After that, these seventeen will become ten, and ten will become seventeen, twenty-seven will become one, and one will become twenty-seven. The fifth (part) has three points: the text, the accomplishment of the intention of other statements by it, and the explanation of their ascertainment. The first point is: Regarding the statement that "all phenomena are without intrinsic nature," if it is not literal, then what is the intention? Just as the transformations of the Samkhya's Pradhana and so on arise, these things do not arise by their own nature, but depend on conditions, and when they are destroyed, they are not merely close to pacification, but become without their own nature, and those that arise now also do not remain in their own essence due to momentariness, and just as children who have not seen the truth grasp at self and phenomena, because they have no own characteristics, therefore, considering this, it is said that all phenomena are without intrinsic nature. Furthermore, "all phenomena" refers to the three natures, namely, the imputed nature has no own characteristics, because it is merely imputed. Therefore, it is called without intrinsic nature by its own characteristics. The dependent nature does not arise by its own nature, because it depends on conditions. Therefore, it is called without intrinsic nature because of the absence of arising. The thoroughly established nature does not have the nature of the imputed and dependent natures, because it is a completely pure object and is the ultimate truth. Therefore, because it is without intrinsic nature of the ultimate truth, it is called without intrinsic nature. The second point is: Again, what is the intention of saying "unborn" and so on? Just as it is said, in the manner of being without intrinsic nature, it is thus unborn, because there is no action of arising for what is without intrinsic nature. That which is unborn is thus unceasing, because cessation is that which precedes arising. That which is unborn and unceasing

Thus, endurance is peace, because there is no dependent characteristic. Thus, it is called self-nature nirvana. Thirdly, in the Great Vehicle, the Tathagata's intentions are all fourfold, namely, the intention of equality: as an antidote to disrespecting the Buddha, one will see the perfectly complete Buddha at that time. It is said that this is because the true nature of Dharma is intended to be without distinction. The intention of another time is: as an antidote to laziness, those who make aspirations in the world of Sukhavati will be born there. Also, it is said that by holding the name of the Tathagata Immaculate Moonlight, one will surely attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. It is said that by making aspirations, one completes the accumulation of merit, and by holding the name of the Buddha, one creates the seed, and in due course, it will transform into that and that. The intention of another meaning is: as an antidote to disrespecting the Dharma, it is said that all Dharmas are without self-nature, unborn, and so on. It is said that this is because the intention is not according to the words. The intention of sentient beings' intentions is: depending on the close intentions of the sentient beings to be tamed, it is said that such teachings will bring benefit and happiness in the short and long term. As an antidote to being content with a small amount, one criticizes the virtues of contentment, and as an antidote to indulging in desire, one praises the virtues of the fields such as Sukhavati, and as an antidote to pride in one's own power, one praises the virtues of the Buddha, and as an antidote to not engaging in virtue due to regret, it is said that those who harm the Buddha and Bodhisattvas will also go to heaven. Moreover, for those of uncertain lineage, the great Shravakas are also prophesied to become Buddhas, and it is said that the vehicle is one, and there is no second. Furthermore, the four hidden intentions of these are: as the Ornament Sutra says: "The Shravakas and self-nature, likewise, the faults, taming, and the profound nature of what is said, are the four kinds of hidden intentions." Thus, dwelling in the hidden intention means that for the sake of gradually leading the Shravakas into the teachings, it is said that form and so on exist. Characteristic
