Yes. Furthermore, from that (scripture), are these four noble truths, which are superior, encompassed by the conventional truth or by the ultimate truth? It is said: They are encompassed by the ultimate truth. Why is that? Because the conventional truth is established as having its own characteristics fully accomplished in accordance with things that are in accordance with states of pleasure, suffering, and neither pleasure nor suffering. The ultimate truth, because it is the nature of a single taste of suffering, should be regarded as being established by a general characteristic. Thus it is said. The meaning is this: In the conventional sense, among phenomena that are tainted, whatever becomes a place of arising pleasure is said to be pleasure. Whatever place is the source of suffering is suffering, and whatever place is the source of equanimity is called equanimity, as is known in the world. However, there is no one in the world who calls everything suffering. Therefore, this establishment of the three places of pleasure, suffering, and equanimity, which is neither, in relation to tainted phenomena, is the conventional truth because it is established by worldly people who follow ignorance. Furthermore, whatever phenomena are known to worldly people as pleasure and equanimity, if they are practiced correctly and properly, then they are of the same taste as suffering, like phenomena that are known as suffering, and have a dissimilar nature. There is not even a little taste of pleasure in this. Therefore, whatever establishes all tainted phenomena as suffering is done from the point of view of the ultimate, so it is reasonable to say that the truth of suffering is the ultimate truth. Furthermore, when all tainted phenomena are established as being in a state of suffering, then the actions and afflictions that produce them are also, in meaning, the very origin of suffering, so the truth of the origin is also the ultimate truth. In that way, their pacification is the cessation of all suffering, and whatever is the antidote to the origin is also the path that leads to liberation from the cessation of all suffering.

Because of abiding in the meaning, the truth of cessation and the truth of the path are also ultimate truths. In another way, these four truths are ultimate because they are objects of complete purification. As it was said before: "An object that becomes completely pure is the ultimate truth." Again, it is said: "Why should the truth of suffering be fully understood? Why should the truth of origin be abandoned? Why should the truth of cessation be made manifest? Why should the truth of the path be cultivated?" It is said: "The truth of suffering is the place of the four inversions, so it should be fully understood in order to eliminate the inversions. The truth of origin is included in the truth of suffering. Even if the truth of suffering has been fully understood, it is still connected to the truth of origin, so the truth of origin should be abandoned. What is to be made manifest is the meaning of manifestation. If it is made manifest, one will not fear cessation and will fully embrace joy, so the truth of cessation should be made manifest. In order to accomplish the three meanings mentioned above, the path must be cultivated, so the truth of the path should be cultivated." Its meaning is this: If all four truths should be fully understood, then why should only the truth of suffering be fully understood? Because children are inverted in the truth of suffering in the form of purity, pleasure, permanence, and self, therefore the truth of suffering is the place of the four inversions. In order to eliminate the inversions, it should be understood through the two ways of its own characteristic and its general characteristic. Therefore, the truth of suffering should be fully understood. The other three aspects, such as impermanence, follow the remaining truths, so they are general characteristics. And the aspect of suffering alone is its own characteristic. The remaining truths, such as cause and origin, should be understood only through their own characteristics, not through general characteristics, because permanence and so on are inverted in these truths.
