Therefore, through these (methods), they benefit sentient beings and perfect the accumulation of omniscient knowledge. Ninth, the instruction on abandoning what is to be abandoned, the imputed, and the antidote, the path of seeing, is: Question. Where? On the path of seeing. How? By not deviating from the two truths, not focusing on the ultimate truth, and properly focusing on the conventional truth, it is taught in this way. Regarding this, by whom? By which path? As an antidote to abandoning what is cultivated? Among these three, the first is: The yogi, just as a magician does not cling to the horses, cows, etc., that he conjures as real, is a corporeal or self-natured being who has no manifest attachment to all dharmas. What is it that is not manifestly attached to? It is the realization that all dharmas are without inherent existence. The second is: The path of seeing, which is gathered from the truths of suffering, etc., and each truth has four aspects: the forbearance of knowing the dharma, the forbearance of subsequent knowledge, the knowledge of the dharma, and the nature of subsequent knowledge, totaling sixteen moments. The third is: The path of seeing itself is the antidote to the object to be abandoned, the imputed. The sutra says: Subhuti, generate confidence in the great bodhisattvas, starting from the Prajnaparamita. Why does the Bhagavan speak from the mouth of another? Because in order for others to attain that meaning as well, by the very act of practice, it is to abandon the fault of not being worthy of clinging to oneself. Why does he speak from the mouth of a Shravaka? In order to know that he has attained the blessing. Why does he speak from the mouth of the Venerable Subhuti? Because he is the supreme among those without afflictions, and because he has a greater shared karma with those who are free from afflictions, he teaches the path that is in accordance with the path of seeing, as stated in the 'Sunlight Commentary.' Among these, the meaning of the answer to the first question is: Subhuti is able to explain the path of seeing of the great bodhisattvas because of the blessing of the Tathagata, and because in his continuum, the realization of knowing the meaning of the path of seeing of the bodhisattvas as it is has arisen. If it were not so, he would not be able to explain it without error. Therefore, when abandonment and realization arise in the continuum of others, those (afflictions) will be abandoned.

Thus, it is known that the Tathagata is the measure of a person who shows the path of seeing. The second meaning is: Even the dull-witted Shravakas can be blessed to realize the profound, so he is the master of blessings. The third meaning is: The path of seeing is only Samadhi, not only its own nature, but also from the perspective of the continuum, it is not mixed with afflictions. However, other Arhats, although they have abandoned afflictions, have not completely abandoned the latent tendencies, so the evil deeds of the three doors may occur. However, the Venerable Rabjor has completely abandoned the latent tendencies of afflictions, so the evil deeds of the three doors cannot occur. He thought that he could teach the Dharma that is in accordance with the path of seeing, not contradictory, and not mixed. Tenth, the instruction to the meditator on the path of cultivation, which is the antidote to the innate to be abandoned: Where? On the path of cultivation. How? Because it does not transcend the two truths, it does not focus on the ultimate truth, but cultivates in the conventional truth. This is the way of teaching. Here, there are two things: the nature of the path to be cultivated, and the cultivation as the antidote to them. The first is: There is no establishment of the nature of the uncontaminated path of cultivation, which is a different kind of realization from the path of seeing. Because the uncontaminated path of seeing and the path of cultivation are not different kinds of realization of the Dharmadhatu alone. The thesis is established, namely, that uncontaminated path of cultivation also focuses on the object of suchness, which is manifested by the path of seeing of the nature of the sixteen moments mentioned above, without any difference. For example, the truth of the path of realizing the conditioned and the truth of cessation of abandoning the unconditioned, in the ultimate truth, the nature of emptiness is of one taste, so they cannot be established as mutually different. The second is: Although the nature of the path of seeing is not different, the path of cultivation cultivates as the antidote to the innate object to be abandoned. If the innate to be abandoned is not abandoned by the path of seeing, then the path of cultivation should not abandon it, because there is no difference in nature? There is no fault. Although the nature of seeing and cultivation is not different, the path of seeing does not abandon the innate, but the path of cultivation abandons it, which is a condition.
