From that, various transformations arise. And that nature, initially, is like a two-sided mirror-like mind or is called "Great." From within, the image of wisdom appears, and from without, the image of objects also arises in this way. From egoism, sixteen transformations arise, namely, egoism is of three kinds: the spirited, the dark, and the atomic. From the first (spirited) arise the eleven faculties from the eye to the mind. Among them, the five from the eye to the body are called intellectual faculties. The five from the hand to excretion are called active faculties. The mind is the faculty of both. From the egoism of the dark arise the five suchnesses, such as form. The egoism of the atomic acts on both. From the five suchnesses arise the five great elements, such as earth. As it is said, in the "Black Empowerment Tantra," it is said, "From nature arises the Great," and so on. Among them, the chief is the agent that generates all transformations, but it itself is not generated by anything, so it is not the object. The Great, and the egoism and the five suchnesses included by "etc.," are born from the fundamental nature, and are the objects, but they also generate their respective transformations, so they are also agents. The eleven faculties and the five elements, sixteen in total, are only objects, because they do not generate any results, so they are not agents. The Purusha is not generated by anything, so it is not the object, and it also does not generate any results, so it is not the agent either. From the five suchnesses arise the five great elements, so from what do they arise? From smell arises earth, from sound arises space, from form arises water, from taste arises fire, from touch arises wind. Saying "qualities" is the view of the Vaisheshikas, not the Samkhyas. Some of the Samkhyas, for example, just as the potter's intention and the proximate cause of clay produce various shapes of vessels such as bowls, the sentient beings of the Lord of Power, with wisdom as a guide, believe that nature generates all transformed things from the cause. The Lord of Power possesses eight qualities, is constant, and is different from the self. The eight qualities are subtle, etc., therefore, because of the arising and ceasing of the sentient world, it is subtle.

As it is said: Hands and feet, And eyes, face, and body, Many separate and destroy, Therefore it is said to be subtle. So it is said. The container world is light because it arises and ceases, Space and wind and earth, Water and fire abide, Gathering and increasing, Therefore it is said to be light. So it is said. Here, offerings are not appropriate. Both sentient beings and the container world arise and cease, therefore it is called the Lord, Who has power over all beings, Those who abide and those who move, Whatever they desire, they do, Therefore it is said to be the Lord. So it is said. Because one has power to benefit and harm all beings, it is called having power, Dependent on oneself, having self-mastery, There is no fear for anyone, Because all are under control, Therefore it is said to have power. So it is said. Because everything is accomplished by mere thought, it is called going anywhere, Places and food and provisions, And whatever else is thought of in the mind, The mind does not linger, Therefore it is said to go anywhere. So it is said. Because it has become the object of offering for all beings, it is worthy of offering, In the three realms, it has become an offering, Those who abide and those who move, All beings make offerings, Therefore it is said to be worthy of offering. So it is said. Because all qualities are accomplished as desired, it is called having desires, Courage, dust, and darkness, Wherever they abide, They are accomplished by merely opening the eyes, Therefore it is said to have desires. So it is said. Because one obtains whatever heaven and liberation are desired, it is called dwelling in desire, Liberation or a divine body, Whatever one desires, All are obtained as desired, Therefore it is said to have joy. So it is said. If asked, how is it known that all this is done by Ishvara? Seeing that those with qualities and wealth are short-lived, and some who do evil are long-lived, and those who are generous are also poor, etc., it is clear that these are done by Ishvara based on whether Ishvara is pleased or displeased. There is also a reason, namely, all the container and sentient worlds are the subject of the proposition. They are made by a special agent who has put his mind first, because they can abide, like houses and so on.
