The seeds of afflictions cannot be eradicated from the root, therefore they are subdued. Those who have the lineage of the Great Vehicle abandon the Great Vehicle and associate with the Lesser Vehicle, this is a Mara that greatly deceives by the certain emergence of the Great Vehicle. It is subdued by the seven powers such as the power of knowing the superior and non-superior faculties, that is, by the power of knowing the superior and non-superior faculties, knowing the small, medium, and large of faith, etc., and placing them in the large, by knowing various aspirations, knowing the various differences of aspirations, and placing them in the aspiration of the Great Vehicle, by knowing various realms, knowing the differences of the sentient beings' lineages, and placing them in the actions that are appropriate to the lineage, by knowing the paths that go everywhere, knowing all the afflictions and the paths of various actions, and placing them in the path of the Great Vehicle, by remembering past lives, knowing the past lives of the beings to be tamed, by knowing death and birth, knowing where they will be born in the future, and by the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements, knowing the various differences of Nirvana, through these seven ways, in order to place those who have the lineage of the Great Vehicle on the path of the Great Vehicle itself. Secondly, for one's own sake, the wisdom of saying "I am the Buddha" and the two, abandonment and realization, of saying "I have abandoned all defilements," and for the sake of others, saying that one will certainly be liberated from samsara by the path of the three vehicles, and proclaiming and acknowledging that defilements are obstacles to liberation, to this, the world, including gods, demons, Brahma, Brahmins, or non-gods, says "not a Buddha" from the beginning, to "defilements are not obstacles to liberation," having truly seen the cause of debate that is in accordance with the Dharma, having obtained happiness, fearlessness, and shamelessness, proclaiming loudly in the manner of a great bull, roaring the lion's roar in the assembly, and thus turning the wheel of Brahma, not being overcome by other heretics. Thirdly, if the three actions of body, speech, and mind are known by others, there is a fear that they will become disbelieving, therefore it is necessary to protect them, because there is no need to force, therefore roaring the lion's roar in the assembly

Guarding with diligence. Fourth, due to not forgetting, constantly thinking that it is good to practice this Dharma with these, therefore, when teaching the Dharma, all the retinue listen with respect, listen attentively, focus their minds, abide with the intention of knowing everything, and rejoice in those who are capable of practicing the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma, and generate anger and affliction towards those who oppose the retinue, and do not change with either of the mixed retinue, therefore, abandon those two afflictions. The activity of these two is to gather the retinue. Fifth, the doer, you, wandering in towns and so on, and also abiding in Samadhi internally, always, without any non-omniscient conduct, therefore, in accordance with the name of the all-knowing one, all conduct is endowed with true meaning. Although the Hearer Arhats have exhausted their afflictions, they have not completely subdued their habitual tendencies, so sometimes they mistake an elephant, or encounter one, and so on, they have conduct that is not omniscient. Sixth, in the affairs of all sentient beings, you do not transgress the time, and if a being to be tamed appears, you do not abandon them. Its activity is that all actions are only those that have intense meaning. Seventh, in all the worlds, three times during the day and three times during the night, that is, six times, individually observing in terms of increase and decrease is the activity. The Bhagavan who possesses that activity, through the door of great compassion, constantly thinks of benefiting all sentient beings. Eighth, those that are gathered by conduct are: no confusion in the body, no idle chatter in speech, no forgetfulness in mind, no non-equanimous abiding of mind, the perception of difference between samsara and nirvana, and the abandonment of non-discrimination, these six. Those that are gathered by realization are: no decline in desire, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, and liberation, these six. The three that are gathered by the wisdom of the three times, which is unattached and unobstructed, and all the activities of body, speech, and mind, all are preceded by wisdom and follow wisdom, this is called the three that are gathered by activity, making a total of eighteen.
