That is the Buddha's subsequent teaching. In that, whatever one delights in, that should be examined beforehand. A vessel of the sacred Dharma that has deteriorated is certainly not. Just as a foreign language cannot be understood, similarly, the world cannot be understood except by worldly people. Thus, initially, the Bhagavan, in order to generate respect in the world towards himself, thinking, "This is the all-knowing, all-seeing one, who knows all the origins of the world," therefore, relying on the view of worldly people, he declared that the arising, destruction, and abiding of the container and its contents, and the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., all of which are considered true by those with the dimness of ignorance, are indeed truly existent. Thus, when one believes that the Bhagavan is indeed all-knowing, in order to generate revulsion towards samsara, he taught that all conditioned things are impermanent from moment to moment, and therefore not real. For some to be tamed, depending on the perspective of children, it is said that all this is real, but depending on the wisdom of the noble ones, all this is not real, because they do not see it that way. For some who have long been accustomed to the view of suchness, and whose obscurations have not been slightly removed, it is taught, "Neither real nor not real." This is in order to abandon even the remaining slight obscurations. Thus, as explained, this is the order of the Buddha Bhagavan's subsequent teachings, turning the disciples away from the wrong path and placing them on the good path. All of this exists as a means to enter the nectar of suchness. The Tathagatas do not speak of anything that is not a means to enter the nectar of suchness, but teach the Dharma in accordance with the disciples, just as medicine and other things are in accordance with the disease. As it is said: 'Existence and non-existence, existence-nonexistence and, neither of the two are also taught, due to the power of illness, are all dharmas, not called medicine?' As it is said. Fourth, regarding the nature of suchness, the suchness of the noble ones and the suchness of children, the two.

Firstly, what is the nature of suchness, which is taught by these teachings for the sake of entering? Because the object of expression is reversed, because the object of mind's activity is reversed. Hasn't this been said before? What is there to ask about it? If it is said that even so, but on the level of conventional truth, it is necessary to add assumptions to explain its nature, then, not known from others, peaceful, not elaborated by elaborations, without conceptualization, not different in meaning, that is the nature of suchness. It is not to be understood by the teachings of others, but it is to be understood by the wisdom arising from one's own practice, in a way that is not understood, therefore it is said not known from others; because it is without self-nature, it is peaceful; because it transcends the realm of speech, it is not elaborated by elaborations of speech; because it is separated from the movement of the mind, it is without conceptualization; all defiled and purified dharmas are of one taste in emptiness here, therefore it is not different in meaning, thus these four aspects are the nature of suchness. Secondly, what depends on what arises, that is temporarily not that, not different from that, therefore neither discontinuous nor permanent. Just as a sprout arises from a seed, the fruit that arises from the cause on which it depends is temporarily not that, because it would lead to the fault of the producer and the produced being one and the same. The fruit is not different from the cause, because it would lead to the fault of a sprout arising without a seed. What depends on what arises, that is neither that, nor different from that, therefore that cause is neither discontinuous nor permanent. As it is said: If there is a seed, a sprout arises, whatever is the seed, the sprout is not that, it is not different from that, that is not that, thus neither discontinuous nor permanent, it is the nature of dharma. Fifth, the greatness of suchness: Thus, according to the manner described above, the teachings of the Buddhas, the protectors of the world, transformed into nectar, are neither one meaning nor different, neither discontinuous nor permanent. Perfectly complete enlightened Buddha, protector of those without protection, refuge of those without refuge, the teachings of the protectors of the world, the supreme dharma, completely cutting off old age and death.
