Having condensed and made it easy to practice, Karma Rangjung Kunkyab wrote this. May there be auspiciousness! Aspiration Prayer for the Pure Land of Great Bliss, composed by the learned and accomplished Raga Asya. Om, Amitabha, Hrih) May this be an unfailing commitment. Even though my hand aches, I wrote it with effort, thinking it might benefit some. If anyone wants to edit it, they can borrow it. There is no greater benefit than this, no deeper instruction than this. This is the root of my Dharma. Do not abandon it casually; engage in practice. Since this is a Sutra tradition, it is permissible to recite even without receiving the transmission. Emaho! From here to the west, beyond countless worlds, slightly above, in a place that is elevated, is the pure realm of Sukhavati. Even though my physical eyes have not seen it, it is clearly visible in the clarity of my own mind. There resides the Bhagavan, the Victorious One, Amitabha, with a body the color of red lotus jewel, blazing with splendor. On his head is a crown protuberance, and on his feet are wheels, adorned with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor signs. With one face and two arms, he holds a begging bowl in the gesture of meditation. He wears the three Dharma robes and sits in the vajra posture on a thousand-petaled lotus and moon cushion. He leans his back against the Bodhi tree and gazes at me from afar with eyes of compassion. To his right is the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, with a white body and holding a white lotus in his left hand. To his left is the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, with a blue lotus marked with a vajra. His two right hands show me the gesture of refuge. The three principal ones are like Mount Meru, clearly, distinctly, and brilliantly residing in the retinue. There are hundreds of thousands of Bodhisattva monks, all with golden bodies, adorned with marks and signs. They wear the three Dharma robes, appearing golden. Because of their devotion and reverence, there is no difference between near and far. I prostrate with respect with my three doors. The Dharmakaya Amitabha is the Lord of the Family. From the rays of light of his right hand emanates Avalokiteshvara, who further emanates hundreds of millions of Avalokiteshvaras. From the rays of light of his left hand emanates Tara, who further emanates hundreds of millions of Taras. From the rays of light of his heart emanates Padmasambhava, who further emanates hundreds of millions of Orgyen Padmasambhavas. The Dharmakaya Amitabha

I prostrate! In the six times of day and night, with Buddha's eyes, He constantly gazes with love upon all sentient beings. Whatever thoughts arise in the minds of all sentient beings, He constantly knows with his mind whatever thoughts move. Whatever words all sentient beings speak, He constantly hears distinctly with his ear, without confusion. I prostrate to the omniscient Amitabha. Except for abandoning the Dharma and committing the five heinous crimes, All who have faith in you and offer prayers, Their aspiration to be born in Sukhavati will be fulfilled. It is said that in the bardo, you will come and guide them to that pure land. I prostrate to the guide, Amitabha. Your life span is countless kalpas, You do not pass into nirvana, but remain manifestly present. If one prays to you with unwavering devotion, Except for the ripening of karma, Even those whose lives are exhausted can live to be a hundred years old, And it is said that all untimely deaths can be averted. I prostrate to the protector Amitayus. More meritorious than giving away countless billions of worlds of the trichiliocosm filled with jewels, Is to hear the name of Amitabha and Sukhavati, And with faith, join one's palms together. It is said that the latter is more virtuous. Therefore, I respectfully prostrate to Amitabha. Whoever hears the name of Amitabha, Without hypocrisy, from the depths of their heart and bones, If they generate faith even once, That person will not turn back from the path to enlightenment. I prostrate to the protector Amitabha. Having heard the name of Buddha Amitabha, Until one attains the essence of enlightenment, One will not be born as a woman, but will be born into a good lineage. In all lifetimes, one will maintain pure morality. I prostrate to the Sugata Amitabha. My body, possessions, and all roots of virtue, And whatever offerings I actually possess, Mental emanations of auspicious substances, symbols, and the seven precious jewels, The four continents, Mount Meru, and a hundred billion suns and moons, Which are inherently complete in the trichiliocosm, All the enjoyments of gods, nagas, and humans, I take them in my mind and offer them to Amitabha. For my benefit, please accept them with the power of your compassion. Led by my parents, all beings including myself, From beginningless time until now, Killing, taking what is not given, and engaging in sexual misconduct, I confess all three non-virtuous actions of the body. Lying, divisive speech, harsh speech, and idle chatter, The non-virtuous actions of speech
