As pressured, unable to move, the body is tightly bound. When a man and woman copulate, it's like being cooked near a fire. The large body diminishes, the main parts shrivel and become hot. When the mother walks, it's as if blown by the wind, swaying high and low, spinning around. When the mother sleeps, (258a) it's as if crushed by a mountain. The whole body aches, not knowing where it doesn't hurt. When the mother eats, it's like sinking into mud, becoming dull, with impaired senses and body. When the mother abruptly gets up and sits down, she feels her body blocked, her heart pulled out, wanting to throw herself off a cliff. The mother has no food, eating mixed, filthy food. No clothes, sleeping in the cold, suffering like hell. Ten months pass, the body's essence exhausted, head and feet reversed, when the time of birth arrives, due to the difference in the width of the birth canal, both mother and child are lost in the land of death. Both mother and child endure the great suffering of childbirth. Except for the mother's teeth, the joints separate, feeling as if the body is about to split into pieces. The small child is like being skinned, all energy radiating outwards, mind and body exhausted, like being pounded by a pestle. When placed on a mat, it's like being thrown into a thorn bush. Even if wearing warm, soft clothes, it's not as warm as the mother's womb, the body itches, stings, and aches. The mother picks up the child like picking a lotus, like a bird snatching a chick, cutting the umbilical cord, it's like a thorn piercing the heart. Afterwards, the milk increases, the months grow, the body gets bigger, but it's inconvenient to urinate below, thirsty and hungry, (258b) the body is cold, limbs numb, dust and beings enter the five senses. If the nanny doesn't take good care, and danger occurs, these things happen, impossible to describe in words, thicker than smoke. Although the mother loves the child, even if she puts the nipple in the child's mouth, she cannot fulfill his wishes. Afterwards, the child gradually grows up, adolescence arrives, seeking pleasure everywhere, busy and thirsty, both mind and body exhausted. Guarding carefully is not enough, enemies are many, relatives are few, the heart is sad, unable to sleep, unable to rely on, worried and anxious. Afraid that relatives will become distant and discordant, even if staying far away for three days, feeling uncomfortable, even if staying for only one day, feeling upset and unhappy. If dead, the living faint from grief, the suffering of orphans and widows is unspeakable. Without food, clothes, or property, eventually falling into debt, the suffering of the previous life.
