The one who holds and accomplishes says: 'I am a yogi with vows, abiding in vows and connecting with the deity. You unbearable fierce ones, heroic blood-drinking Herukas (deity name). The empowerment vajra is placed on the crown of my head, the nectar of vows is infused into my tongue, and the severe punishment is written on my heart. Therefore, oath-bound protectors, I will fulfill your vows, and you will accomplish my tasks. When serving, do not be distant; when subduing, do not be weak; when entrusting tasks, do not delay. Respect the master, do not be arrogant; treat as a friend, do not be insincere; command as a servant, do not be stingy; serve like a mother, do not be haughty; associate like a sister, do not be shameless. Tonight, I will confess my faults; tonight, you will fulfill your vows; tonight, I will repay past favors; tonight, I will request future blessings. Do not be indifferent or disdainful, do not be lazy or negligent, do not weaken your love and compassion, do not seek high positions or make new friends, do not engage in falsehood or deceit. In the presence of the great and powerful blood-drinker, did you not make these promises? To protect the Buddha's teachings, to praise the glory of the Three Jewels, to subdue demons and enemies, to accomplish whatever the yogi needs. Do not waver from your vows, accomplish this task. If you deviate from your vows, you will be tormented by the severe punishment of the vows and threatened by the curses of the command. Therefore, do not transgress the vows.'
