Therefore, it is sinful. Not only in this life, but from now on, one will be liberated in all lifetimes. This is just a small part of the merit, because the merit is immeasurable, so it is not explained in detail. Explanation of the special ritual of the vase, the main offering substance. Second, to show the ritual of the vase as the main offering substance. In order to show the material, one may use a vase of gold or silver. Gold is the best, silver is medium. Or, the worst is copper or a red clay vase that has not been used. Its characteristics are implicit: the bottom of the vase should be without stains, the mouth should not be cracked, the spout should droop, the neck should be long, the body should be bulging, and the bottom should be contracted. The essence and decorations are: five jewels, namely pearls and other eyeless objects, which are precious because they are rare. These jewels should be without flaws, i.e., unused and new. Mustard seeds: are the items used for accomplishment, to dispel obstacles, placed in a clean container, and placed on top. Duvani: is auspicious grass, with leaves, as well as kusha grass and seven peacock feathers, used to decorate the mouth. Sandalwood: is white sandalwood with fragrance. 'Including' means: the remaining four fragrances, five grains, five medicines such as Hasadeva, five essences such as brown sugar, as described in the Secret General Tantra. Especially crystal, diamond, and blue flowers. Garlands can also be used to decorate the mouth. Fill with water, adding incense and milk, filling two-thirds. Place an auspicious tree on top—an Ashoka tree or a fruit-bearing tree, and place a vajra, then tie a protection cord. Wrap with a clean cloth, using unused clean cotton or silk, wrapping in the form of three chignons. Thus, the vase for practice is one, the vases for empowerment are five, and the vase for all activities is one, totaling six or twelve. As it says in 'Valiant Arm': 'Vases should be placed around the mandala.' As it says in the General Tantra: 'In all corners and doors, vases should be placed. At the main door, they should be placed in pairs. In particular, one vase should be placed. One vase should be placed next to the outer door.' If there are twelve, they are placed in the corners; if there are eight or five, they are placed at the doors; the vase for all activities should be placed next to the outer door.' After meditating there, show the number of recitations to be done: recite twenty-one times, or one hundred and eight times.

After reciting, one should repeat it again and again, counting the number of times. The long *dhāraṇī* should be recited twenty-one times, and the heart *mantra* and near-heart *mantra* should be recited one hundred and eight times. Then, to indicate to those to be tamed, it is said: 'The king should always bathe.' Here, 'the king and all others' should be added, because the king is the head of the royal family, and the other three castes are retinues, so they are all included. 'Always' means at all times of the day and night, that is, three times a day. This is the instruction to bathe with the water of the vase. By doing so, one will obtain all the above benefits. As it is said in the *tantra*: 'Having relied on a supreme support, if a wise person bathes with it, higher realms and definite goodness will arise.' The substances of the vase mentioned above, in the definitive sense, are the purification of the five aggregates (*skandha*) with outflows, the five elements (*dhātu*), the five sense fields (*āyatana*), the five objects (*viṣaya*), and the five afflictions (*kleśa*), thereby attaining the five aggregates without outflows, the five wisdoms (*jñāna*), and the qualities and activities of the *Tathāgata*. If someone thinks that the poor cannot obtain the five jewels and so on, then three substances are mentioned to represent body, speech, and mind, by which one can obtain the nature of complete purification of body, speech, and mind, that is, the three bodies (*Trikāya*). Or, gold is a symbol representing the essence of *bodhicitta*. Just as one relies on a stainless jeweled vase, *bodhicitta* is the essence of meaning that pervades all beings, relying on the purification of the stains of the two obscurations, and just as one covers with clean clothes, the *yogī* should protect their mind. Having understood this meaning, one should recite, and with the water of such recitation, wash away the king of the mind, who is controlled by the minister of the afflicted mind, and who enjoys the subjects of the six consciousnesses, thereby being separated from all obscurations, abiding in the original natural state, and perfecting all qualities. As it is said in the *Samādhi Posterior Tantra*: 'Having obtained it, one becomes happy, like a perfect *Jina*.' The *Vajravidāraṇā Dhāraṇī* is complete. Nonsense piled up in words, three eyes flaunting unrelated to the neck. Its many verses of little meaning, fools take as a wonderful garland. Alas, not entering the heart, not enduring the scrutiny of reason and logic, if that book doesn't end up as waste paper, who else is to blame? A delight for the ignorant, disdained by the wise. Perfect speech, like pearls, strung into a marvelous chain. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
