Collection of Teachings by Omniscient Pema Karpo PK88: A Commentary on the Vajra Vidarana Dharani: An Explanation of the Meaning of the Mantras 11-485 A Commentary on the Vajra Vidarana Dharani: An Explanation of the Meaning of the Mantras Establishing the General Meaning of the Tantra Herein lies the Commentary on the Vajra Vidarana Dharani: An Explanation of the Meaning of the Mantras Homage to the immaculate lotus feet of the venerable and holy Yonten Yeshe Pal Zangpo (Qualities, Wisdom, Glorious, Excellent). 11-486 Constant compassion embraces like the sky, the radiance of emptiness possessing all aspects. Whether obscured or purified, or as an object of view, small, medium, or large in scope. Here, whatever thought, the clarity of the two truths like the sun and moon Pervades everywhere, unable to distinguish the edge from the center, now I am certain of its vast expanse, so I pay homage. Ema! By the power and dust of your feet, Touching the crown of my head, my intelligence is enhanced. Of the profound realm of the Buddha's activity, I am inclined towards explaining the meaning of the Sutras. As most scholars rejoice, Attached to merely combining the sounds of the Tantras. Even striving, it is like rowing against the current, Not contending with the ultimate truth's extreme. The communities of the accomplished ones Share the nectar vase of definite secrecy. My wisdom, however, drinks the enemy of the glory of Palmo (Glorious Goddess), Through the power of practice, drinking into the depths of my throat. Here, the Dharani mantra called 'Vajra Vidarana' is to be explained, in two parts: establishing the general meaning of the Tantra, and understanding the meaning of the occasion through explanation. First is the first part: That which is continuous is called a 'Tantra'. As it is said in the scriptures: 'Tantra is said to be continuous. Samsara is considered a Tantra. Nirvana is the later Tantra.' The Tantra can be divided into two: the meaning to be expressed, and the differences in the beings to be tamed. 11-487 From these two aspects, it can also be explained in four ways: Kriya, Charya, Yoga, and Anuttarayoga. Some say there is a fifth, which simultaneously explains the view of the upper Tantras and the conduct of the lower Tantras, but this is not reasonable. If so, because some Tantras fully explain the meaning of most Tantras, the Tantras would exceed five. Therefore, there are only four Tantras. These Tantras, because the deity and mantra are inseparable, are the treasure of the Vidyadharas. As it is said in the scriptures: 'This is the scripture that clarifies the treasure of the Vidyadharas,' and 'The mantra is the deity, the deity is the mantra.' Like that --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is also known in the Sutra section. I will explain it in the form of Secret Mantra Sutra section, please listen. ' Thus it was said. Therefore, this is the occasion to specifically explain the Action Tantra, so it should be explained. Among them, there are two types: common tantras and specific tantras. Specific tantras are also divided into: Tantras of Action (Kriya Tantra) that mainly explain activities; Root Tantras that explain each of the three families separately. As the Buddha Secret says: 'There are four, namely Action Tantra, common and specific, these two. Action is explained in actions. The three families are separated and acted upon.' The so-called three families are the Tathagata family, the Padma family, and the Vajra family. However, in the retinue, there are also the Ratna family, the Five Pleasures family, this family, the Hair Knot family, the Prosperity family (these are variations of names), and the Worldly family, which are divided into six families. Therefore, this tantra section has the designation of 'Six Doors'. However, since the main part of the ritual for accomplishing special siddhis belongs to the three families, it is said to be three families. Here, the Vajra family is held. Among them, from the crown, face, nose, shoulders, heart, navel, secret place, ankles, etc. of the Sambhogakaya Buddha, wrathful deities emanate. The tantra explained by their questioning, such as the Vajra Crown, etc., all the profound meanings are briefly shown here, so it is regarded as their oral transmission tantra. In addition, there is also the Vajra Sumeru Mountain King Tantra, which is explained in the first chapter of the one hundred and eight chapters. The remaining chapters explain this in detail, so it is called the root of all tantras, or the Great Root Tantra. As the Buddha Secret said: 'This is the Great Root Tantra, Vajra Sumeru Mountain King. All tantras are one hundred and eight. This is explained first among them, so it is very famous as the root.' In order to understand the meaning of the context through the method of explanation, it is necessary to understand the meaning of necessity, the meaning of summary, and the meaning of words. Second, in order to understand the meaning of the context through the method of explanation, it is necessary to understand these three: the meaning of necessity, the meaning of summary, and the meaning of words. First, the Vajra of meaning and form destroys everything, which is what is to be expressed, and this treatise is the expresser. By explaining this expresser, the unsubdued can be tamed, and the listener can understand as it is. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
