There are three ways to meditate: first, visualizing the merit field; second, visualizing the Guru Yoga; and third, visualizing the Kun Dus Norbu practice. The first is to visualize the merit field: In the space in front, a wish-fulfilling tree trunk, with many branches growing from a single root, in the center on a precious throne supported by eight great elephants and lions, there is a cushion stacked with lotus, moon, and sun. On the cushion covered with countless priceless divine garments, its essence is the kind root Guru, the form is Vajradhara (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་,梵文:वज्रधर,Vajradhara,The Diamond Holder), body color blue, holding vajra and bell in an interlocking manner. Vajrayogini (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་རྣལ་འབྱོར་མ་,梵文:वज्रयोगिनी,Vajrayoginī,Diamond Yogini) is red in color, appearing in a joyful posture, holding a curved knife and skull cup, and is united with him. Adorned with six seals, possessing nine dance postures, endowed with thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, the voice has sixty branches, the mind has suchness and whateverness, possessing five wisdoms, visualized as the nature of victory from all directions. Visualize the masters of the word lineage, the meaning lineage, the practice lineage, the Kagyu lineage, and the whispered lineage, as well as all the Buddhas of the three times and their retinues, the Yidam deities, the heroes and dakinis, the Dharma protectors and guardians, all in the manner of many branches sprouting from a single root, residing throughout the sky like a gathering of clouds. The second is to visualize the Guru Yoga: In order to reverse the attachment to the ordinary appearance of one's own body, remembering the Yidam deity who appears but has no inherent existence, visualize oneself as the lineage lord of the Yidam, on the crown of the head, visualize the lineage masters ascending upwards, residing in a stacked manner like pearls strung on a thread. Visualize that the essence of these masters is one in Dharmakaya, and the forms appear different in various ways to tame beings, with compassion, they impartially accept all those to be tamed, and they possess the ability to accomplish all needs and desires at will, and their power is unobstructed. The third is to visualize the Kun Dus Norbu practice: Visualize oneself as the Yidam deity, on the crown of the head, on a precious throne supported by lions, there is a lotus, a moon, and a cushion covered with silk, on which is the kind root Guru Vajradhara, with the luster of sapphire, with a smiling face, holding a vajra and a bell, the hair is tied in a topknot, with a five-colored silk headdress and a precious jewel crown, adorned with necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and so on, the feet are seated in the vajra posture, the body is enough to be seen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unknowing (beings), (the Buddha) possessing sixty branches of melodious voice, clearly knowing how the mind of (the Guru) is and how much it knows. (I pray that) from the ten directions, including the root Guru and the lineage Gurus, the glorious Guru, the supreme Guru, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, heroes and dakinis, Dharma protectors and guardians, filling the sky, all appear as the embodiment of Vajradhara, inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of the Guru. Thus, I visualize clearly. Offering is important. In the 'Vinaya Source Sutra' it says: 'Abandon all offerings, and truly make offerings to the Guru.' Therefore, offering to the Guru is very important. Offerings are divided into outer offerings, inner offerings, secret offerings, and suchness offerings. First, my body also transforms into dust particles equal to the sky, starting from the branch of prostrating as many times as there are particles, I pray that all will abide without passing into Nirvana. Offering one's own body, possessions, the four continents, Mount Meru, and all stable things is the outer offering. Offering beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, sweet tastes, soft touches, and other things is the inner offering. Offering the eight coquetries, sixteen vidyas, and so on, is the secret offering. The bliss and emptiness arising from these offerings is the suchness offering. The necessity of offering is, in the 'Vinaya Source Sutra' it says: 'By pleasing him, one will attain the supreme wisdom of omniscience.' And, the teacher of unsurpassed deeds is, if one extremely offers to Vajrasattva, what does it matter if his merit has not been done and his asceticism has not been practiced? (He will) be free from fear and sin, and be accompanied by happiness. Praying at length and completely is, according to the custom of this lineage, reciting the words in the prayer texts such as 'Five Bodies Complete' and 'Messenger Swift'. With faith as the main thing, expanding as much as possible, is the order of praying. Praying briefly and completely is, in general, all the perfections of samsara and nirvana arise from the kindness of the root Guru and the lineage Gurus. Know that from the blessings, realizations, and compassion of the former, the latter arises. And, because of these reasons, all happiness, goodness, and excellence depend on the root Guru. Therefore, reciting their respective names, with a respectful body, a pleasant speech, and a pure mind, single-mindedly, (recite) the lineage prayer texts of Mahamudra, the Six Dharmas of Naropa, and so on. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
