Not guarding the mind is intentionally deceiving. When there are suitable resources for enjoyment and samaya substances, Clearly able to rely on them but thinking not to rely, One should have understanding of both common and individual aspects, not be ignorant. Being insatiable both overtly and covertly is an inferior behavior. Multiplying by six factors: place, intention, action, time, fault, and frequency, one obtains eighty-four. Then multiplying again by three degrees: heavy, medium, and light, Two hundred and fifty-two is the classification of root downfalls. Differences in place, intention, action, and time, etc., all belong to that category, understood through the severity of pārājika, āpatti, and the subtle degrees of branch vows and misdeeds. Old age, decline of power, being used by others, having important matters, being unavoidable, steadfast, having needs, gaining ability, permission, command, obstacles, etc., all these have no fault, thus the Buddha has said. Not relying on a consort, reveling, arguing, taking nectar, not showing to others, speaking ill of others to devotees, residing in a Śrāvakayāna monastery while claiming to be a mantrika, and expounding to an unsuitable vessel, these are eight branch downfalls. Not practicing and claiming ownership, not relying on a consort, slandering there, also arguing in the sangha. Taking the nectar of a consort without proper rituals, even knowing secret teachings but not expounding due to evil thoughts. Expounding other teachings to faithful seekers of Dharma, staying overnight in a Śrāvakayāna etc. monastery for more than seven days, not understanding secret mantra yet claiming to be a mantrika. Expounding without purifying the preliminary practices, etc., favoring outsiders and expounding secrets to them. Not concealing secret items and mudras. Abandoning one's own deity, liking other deities beyond the proper time. Clinging to worldly knowledge, thinking oneself complete without being so, demeaning others for worldly gains, not behaving as superior. Abandoning residence and love without purpose except for activities. Engaging in base conduct, craving wealth, not fully accepting conceptual thoughts. Abandoning one's own conduct has fifteen aspects, be close to holy beings. Examining the vessel, abandoning harm for the sake of desire, valuing the Three Jewels. Not accepting, not abandoning benefiting others, bodhicitta, not conforming, not entering virtue, understanding transference of consciousness. The opposite of these are seven, having doubts about mantra. Abandoning the three vehicles, combining them into one, not abiding in those ten, initiation, not being skilled in examining demons, the mind perishes in time. Not confessing subtle faults has six aspects, totaling twenty-eight. Abandoning begging and yoga, not constantly keeping, not relying on samaya etc. These four are said to be branch downfalls. 'Desire Vajra' (Tibetan: འདོད་པའི་རྡོ་རྗེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: कामवज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: kāma-vajra, Literal meaning: Desire Vajra), vajra bell and hand seal, as well as the guru, receiving offerings, giving to jewels. Becoming supreme in samsara and nirvana, guarding samaya, offering a sword, guarding the lotus family. The lineage that gives birth to all Buddhas has bodhicitta. In sequence, vajra, sword, jewel, lotus, wheel, curved knife, are explanations of different natures. Resources and enjoyments can be summarized into four: samadhi, post-practice, etc. In short, vajra, bell, six mudras, khatvanga, damaru, lotus vessel, rosary, painting, scripture, and other offerings, such as elephant skin, are all implements of the samaya. The five desires, five meats, five ambrosias, five drinks, five mudras are enjoyments. Seventy-two kinds of meat can be relied upon during the gathering. Killing, lying, not giving and taking, relying on another's wife, and preventing or cutting off one's own life, should all be understood as obscurations of the clear light nature of the aggregates and other dharmas. In an instant, speaking to all beings in their respective languages, non-deceptive speech is called lying, which is to explain the truth of dependent origination and emptiness. The four pulse points of the body are located in the secret place, the bodhicitta unites with the form, eating great meat is to remove the obscuration of the aggregate of formation, for body and speech, the four pulse points of speech unite at the navel, eating excrement and urine can remove the obscuration of the aggregate of form. The four pulse points of mind unite at the heart, eating semen and blood can remove the obscuration of the aggregates of feeling and perception, this is the collection of mind samayas. Above this, the four pulse points of wisdom unite at the throat, eating go-ku-da-ha-na, the five senses such as eyes, the five elements, all dharmas can remove obscurations, in Kalachakra, this is the pure wisdom samaya. In order to obtain the wisdom of the Buddha by one's own power, those things that have not been given are regarded as things that can be taken. The cause of accomplishment and the arising of samayas, not talking to people of other castes, non-duality, the behavior of samayas is unobstructed, not having intercourse with women, practicing the face of celibacy, guiding the various practices of the channels, there are eight kinds in total, as said in Chakrasamvara, which is the distinction of these meanings.", "All kinds of emptiness, Vajrasattva, female, unchanging bliss, should all be combined with it. Regarding another's wife as a support, the meaning is in emptiness and unchanging bliss, these two samayas or the union samaya, encompass all mantra samayas and precepts, the Buddha-land is also called the great samaya. Using the emptiness samaya to control the mundane, using the ultimate unchanging union to unite the meanings, through undistracted knowledge, accomplishing it with the path, this is the root of all mantra samayas. Therefore, taming one's own mind is also called by the Buddhas as the essence of the taming dharma." ] } --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
