Became. In order to get the best taste, the army arrived at that place. When the monkey was hit by an arrow stone, the great Bodhisattva jumped from the tree to the top of the mountain. The two feet were beautifully decorated with roots. He jumped to the top of the tree again. The monkey crowd stepped on those roots and walked over, and everyone safely reached the other shore. The amazing monkey king was slowly invited down by the king, and his feet were injured and treated with medicine and so on. He didn't consider his own suffering, and it was amazing to save others. Then he showed the way of Nirvana and went to the heavenly realm. In the Garland of Jataka Tales of Bodhisattvas, 4-517 The Jataka Tale of the Monkey King is the twenty-seventh. Seeing the faults of the family, wanting to attain meditation, a sage named 'Great Patience' became well-known in the world. He lived comfortably in the ascetic forest, and the king came with his army near that place. The king was tired and fell asleep from watching, and the concubines wandered in the forest, listening to the Patient Immortal preach the Dharma. At this time, the king woke up and followed the concubines, saw the ascetic sitting there, and the king was angry and became unhappy. Then, the immortal spoke frankly to him with true words, but the fire of that sinner's anger could not be extinguished by the water of true words. Even if the hands, feet, ears, nose, etc. were cut into pieces by a sword, there was no anger, and the smile of compassion was brighter than the sun. Due to extremely heavy karma, the king fell into hell. The great Bodhisattva went to the heavenly realm. In the Garland of Jataka Tales of Bodhisattvas, the Jataka Tale of the Patient Immortal is the twenty-eighth. The great Bodhisattva, by the power of meditation, 4-518 Became the Lord of Brahma, surpassing others. He saw the king of Purvavideha (Sanskrit: पूर्वविदेह, Purvavideha, Eastern Body Victory Continent, Eastern Videha) in the east and his entourage, all holding the wrong view of no afterlife. In order to destroy his wrong view, he came from the Brahma world, possessing golden light and shining brilliance. After seeing him, the king respectfully prostrated and gave a grand reception.

Having recognized this, one should listen carefully to the Dharma. The Dharma elaborates on the existence of the afterlife, and the suffering of hell, which is extremely cruel and unbearable, is most fully explained by the Buddha. The king and his entourage turned away from their wrong views, recognized the existence of the afterlife, and were established on the path of the ten virtues. The Twenty-ninth Chapter, 'Brahma Jataka' from 'Garland of Jataka Tales of Bodhisattva' is completed. Far from the town, in a delightful and abundant forest, he beheld an elephant whose form resembled the swaying peak of a snow mountain. After some time, he heard the wailing of about seven hundred people who had been driven away by the king's anger. Out of compassion, he approached the elephant and asked, 'What is the cause of this?' They secretly replied, 'This has happened because of the king's angry command.' Realizing that there was no other way for them to survive, he began to sacrifice his body, and said to them, 'At the foot of that rocky mountain, there lies the corpse of a dead elephant. Use its flesh to sustain yourselves, and use its intestines as water containers.' The elephant quickly went and cast its body into the precipice. A sound arose in the sky, and the earth shook. As the great elephant had intended, those deeds were accomplished. They were unharmed and unhurt, and went peacefully to their own dwellings. The Thirtieth Chapter, 'Elephant Jataka' from 'Garland of Jataka Tales of Bodhisattva' is completed. The Thirty-first Chapter, 'Prince Moon Jataka', to the Thirty-fourth Chapter, 'Bird Jataka'. In the city called Kuru, there arose a supreme king named Moon, endowed with hundreds of virtues. When the spring season arrived, the king, along with his entourage, gradually went to the garden for recreation. A supreme Brahmin also came there. At that time, they heard a great and terrifying sound. There appeared the son of Sudasa, a Rakshasa (flesh-eating demon) named Red-Foot. The entourage was frightened. They brought King Moon to the dwelling of the Rakshasa Red-Foot. They made a promise that they would return after making offerings to the Brahmin, and then they left. After making offerings to the Brahmin, they returned. The Rakshasa Red-Foot also developed faith. Due to their faith in King Moon, they listened carefully to the Dharma. The Dharma elaborates on the faults of samsara, and... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
