There are three parts: the preliminary ritual, the main ritual, and the concluding ritual. Now that the preliminary ritual is over, please repeat this main ritual. Monastics, please listen. I will refer to the one to be ordained by their own Dharma name. From this moment until the end of my life, I take refuge in the Buddha, the foremost of bipeds! I take refuge in the Dharma, the foremost of those free from desire! I take refuge in the Sangha, the foremost of assemblies! Please, venerable ones, allow me to be held as a novice for the rest of my life. This is a mantra spoken for oneself, so please repeat it a second time. Repeat from 'Monastics, please listen' to 'Please, venerable ones, allow me.' The vows of a novice are obtained during the third recitation of the ritual. This third ritual has three parts: taking refuge, self-declaration, and other-declaration. Up to 'I take refuge in the Sangha' is the taking refuge part, up to 'as a novice' is the self-declaration part, and 'Please, venerable ones, allow me' is the other-declaration part. In the self-declaration part, the words 'as a novice' should be spoken loudly. After completion, the one to be ordained should be certain that they have obtained the novice vows, and because the novice vows have been obtained in the continuum of the one to be ordained, we have become the preceptor of the novice vows of the one to be ordained. Now that we have become the preceptor, we should not say 'Please, venerable ones, allow me,' but should say 'Please, preceptor, allow me.' Please keep this in mind and repeat the third time. From 'Monastics, please listen' to 'Please, preceptor, allow me.' Then the preceptor says, 'This is the means,' and the one to be ordained says, 'Good.' Thus the main ritual is completed. Concluding Ritual The concluding ritual has two parts. The first part is a brief explanation of the conduct to be followed after obtaining the vows: The objects of veneration are all bhikshus (藏文:དགེ་སློང་།,梵文天城体:भिक्षु,梵文罗马拟音:bhikṣu,汉语字面意思:比丘) and all novices who are senior to oneself in precepts. The objects that are not to be venerated are upasakas (藏文:དགེ་བསྙེན།,梵文天城体:उपासक,梵文罗马拟音:upāsaka,汉语字面意思:近事男), novices who are junior to oneself in precepts, and all laypeople. The nature of veneration itself includes prostrations, placing in a higher seat, and so on. To understand these, it is necessary to state the year and time, etc. The year in which you obtained the novice vows is the Water Male Horse year, and the time is the fourth month of spring in the five seasons. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. There are two types of waxing and waning moons, this is the waxing moon. It has fifteen dates, and the fourth day of the waxing moon is the day of turning the wheel of Dharma. It has two parts, day and night, and this is the daytime part. It has many parts, and it should be explained according to whether the time of receiving the novice vows is early or late. Therefore, giving respect to those who should be respected, and accepting respect from those who should not be respected, in this way one can respect one's own and others' precepts, and it is in accordance with the Buddha's regulations, and has inconceivable benefits, so put these into practice. Now is the second conclusion. In order to ensure that the vows received do not degenerate and increase, the precepts to be learned are now explained: It is not enough to just receive the novice vows, one must protect them. If one does not protect them, great faults will arise. The Vinaya Sutra says: 'Some people's discipline brings happiness, some people's discipline brings suffering. Those who hold discipline bring happiness, those who break discipline bring suffering.' Therefore, one must guard well. The method of guarding is like the Arhats abandoning the ten things to be abandoned by a novice with their minds, and then their body and speech no longer create them. I also, from now until death, will abandon the ten things to be abandoned, including their retinue, with my mind, and my body and speech will no longer create them.' Think like this, and then repeat after me. Please listen, Teacher. Just like those Arhats, until the end of their lives, they abandon killing and no longer kill. I, also called Dharma name so-and-so, from now until the end of my life, abandon killing and no longer kill. For this first branch, I follow, practice, and act according to the precepts of those Arhats. Furthermore, just like those Arhats, until the end of their lives, they abandon taking what is not given, non-celibacy, lying, grain alcohol, brewed alcohol, intoxicants that cause carelessness, singing, dancing, the sound of music, garlands, perfumes, ornaments, colors, high beds, large beds, untimely food, and receiving gold and silver, and no longer receive gold and silver. I, also called so-and-so, from now until the end of my life will --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
