Do not walk around, do not step on the shadow of the guru, do not step on clothes and any utensils, do not measure the guru's body, abandon lying down, stretching legs, and other improper behaviors. When getting up, stand up; when seeing the guru, prostrate. Beating, stealing, evil thoughts, etc., let alone actually doing them, do not even joke about them. Do not discard urine, snot, phlegm, dirt, etc., where the guru can see them. Do not sit on high thrones, etc., where the guru can see them. Be humble in body, join palms in reverence. Offer incense with the smoke of various fragrant substances such as sandalwood (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, candana, sandalwood), agarwood (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, agaru, agarwood), turuka (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, turuka, a type of incense), and nutmeg (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, jati, nutmeg), and anoint with fragrant oil. Offer the guru's body without hesitation with gifts and footrests, etc., of divine clothes and whatever wealth you have. Praise, offer extremely, praise exceedingly. Second, the guru's vow of speech is: do not disobey any of the guru's teachings, and accept them. Even if the guru says to kill hundreds of thousands of sentient beings, do not be outwardly disobedient. Do not speak old tales, dirty words, lies, harsh words, abusive language, quarrels, etc., in front of the guru. Let alone actually doing lying, divisive speech, frivolous speech, slander, etc., even if the thought arises, confess. With extremely gentle words, ask for what you want with honorifics and respect. Also, tell others about the guru's various virtues, and recite the prayer that invokes the name of the root guru, one hundred times a day without interruption. Third, the guru's vow of mind is: do not disturb the guru's mind even for a moment with actions such as perverted desires and evil deeds. Let alone actually doing wrong views, greed, harmful thoughts, etc., even if they appear in a dream, confess with lamenting repentance and the emptiness of view. Generate faith, reverence, and longing with one-pointedness, and whatever actions and biographies the guru's body, speech, and mind perform, determine that they are actions with secret meanings. Remember the guru in your mind one hundred times a day and one hundred times a night, pour out your heart, pray, receive the four empowerments, and mix the guru's mind and your own mind. The *Compendium of Tantras* says: Whoever truly protects the vows to a guru who possesses the qualities, that person is liberated in the realm of the three bodies. If even a little is violated, that person will be pierced by five hundred short spears.

The fire of the earth hell burns. Thus it is said. Secondly, the vows of the Yidam are three: body, speech, and mind. Firstly, the vow of the Yidam's body is to meditate on the body as the deity, with clear form, pure recollection, and stable pride, so that the generation stage, which is like an illusion of appearance and emptiness, is firmly established. Secondly, the vow of speech is to recite, practice, perform actions, perform great recitation, great practice, and great actions, etc., in accordance with the Dharma, like the rays of light emanating from the mantra wheel, gathering and dispersing, without any additions or omissions in the mantra syllables. Strive diligently with pure sound and clear words, and ensure that the signs appear in accordance with the Dharma. Thirdly, the vow of mind is to know the phenomenal world as the celestial palace of the deity, so do not grasp at mundane appearances as delusions. Know sounds as mantras, so carry sounds as recitations. Know thoughts and concepts as mind, so do not separate from the state of clarity and emptiness. In the uninterrupted appearance of pure clarity, dispel the extreme of emptiness by visualizing the deity's form. In the unimpeded self-nature of emptiness, dispel the extreme of permanence. Drive the peg of meditation with the seal of Dharma on clarity. Protect clinging with the seal of vows like the eyes. Engage in actions with the seal of karma, holding a qualified mudra. Abide in the complete body as the great seal. In short, the three doors are the nature of the three mandalas, which are inherently so and should be practiced as such. From the single bindu, with the view of the three clarities, in the wisdom of the three appearances, in the mandala of the three knowledges, the yogi constantly enters and abides. The mandala is the master of all, victorious over all. Thus it is said. Thirdly, the vows of the Dakini are three: body, speech, and mind. Firstly, the vow of the Dakini's body is to receive the four empowerments from a qualified teacher, to be able to tame the channels, train the body, and control the vital energy, and to abandon cursing all women. Secondly, the vow of the Dakini's speech is to hold the substances of practice and the life-stone, and to recite and practice the Dakini's mantra, Om. Thirdly, the vow of the Dakini's mind is to seek a qualified mudra wherever it may be, and after fully ripening the continuum, to experience the wisdom of the four joys and bliss-emptiness, which arises from its own radiance, through self-liberation, and to completely
