The method of offering butter is: Visualize the tongue of the fire god as being in the form of a vajra, white, with Ram (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, literal meaning: seed syllable of fire) on it.
