I also learned to abide in stillness, relax into various thoughts, and rest in non-thought, etc. All activities are blended with natural meditation, and all actions, speech, thoughts, and discriminations arise as the play of Dharma-nature, without distinction between meditative equipoise and post-meditation, without difference between day and night, without the Dharma of acceptance and rejection, without a mind to be cultivated, without calculation of right and wrong. The state and play of awareness are blended into one, and although it becomes as vast as the sky, it does not become scattered. Although one does not deliberately meditate, one is inseparable from samadhi, and it passes through the three times without time. This is the realization of the exhaustion of Dharma-nature, understanding that there is no benefit or harm from seeing, meditating, acting, and resulting, transcending good and evil, acceptance and rejection. One naturally abides in the yoga of the continuous stream of non-meditation. Secondly, abiding arises as the adornment of the mind, scattering arises as the play of the mind, and abiding in the state of non-duality and equality. Among these three, the first is when the three doors of body, speech, and mind are relaxed and at ease, and one abides steadily. Allow various thoughts of affirmation and negation to scatter. When one suddenly stops and gazes intently, the awareness that scatters like ocean waves, and the object of scattering, are not established as two. The mind is without foundation or root, and one naturally abides in the state of the ground of self-nature. This is the original, primordial purity, and it is the introduction to the unchanging intention of the Dharmakaya. Secondly, from the state of mind itself, various thoughts arise. Without affirmation or negation, without hope or fear, allow whatever thoughts arise to be free without clinging. Abandon the anticipation of past and future thoughts. However the natural state of present awareness arises and dissolves spontaneously, it does not go beyond the play of Dharma-nature. Just as whatever waves arise from the great ocean, they arise from the ocean itself and dissolve into the ocean itself, the essence of self-arising and self-liberation is the introduction to the intention of unceasing compassion. Thirdly, scattering and abiding are non-dual. When one is in a state of abiding, closing the eyes causes scattering. Again, naturally abiding causes abiding. When one is in a state of scattering, not moving the eyes and suddenly stopping causes abiding. Scattering and abiding are like waves and bubbles arising in the ocean, and one abides in the state of dissolving into the ocean. Moreover, abiding does not

Do not obstruct, nor cultivate equanimity. However the mind arises, do not cling to it. Introduce the meaning of the Dharma-nature, which transcends rejection, acceptance, taking, abandoning, hope, and fear, as primordially liberated, self-existing, spontaneously accomplished, and luminous. Thus, by abiding in self-arising, it is liberated in its own place. By abiding in uncertainty, it is liberated from clinging. By abiding in primordial liberation, it is liberated from the ground. By abiding in the immediate present, it is liberated nakedly. By abiding in arising liberation, it is liberated into appearance and emptiness. Since all collections of conceptual thoughts are liberated from the ground without being abandoned, it is the confidence of the Dharma that eliminates the effort of liberating again. Since whatever arises, conceptual thought is liberated in its own place, it is the confidence of the Dharma that does not rely on the antidote of mindfulness. Since the six objects are liberated into naked seeing, it is the confidence of the Dharma that is free from the knowledge of not clinging to before and after. Knowing that good and bad are completely liberated, it is the confidence of the Dharma that is free from taking and abandoning partiality. In short, whatever arises, the nature of awareness that transcends bondage and liberation is established as being free from going and coming. This is called self-mind liberation. There is no going from one place to another, nor is there anyone to liberate. It is one's own mind. Since it is complete from the ground, there is no going and coming. It cannot be found by investigation, and there is no particle sign. Since it is free from all roots, the mind that abides in emptiness and clarity is liberated by the key point, so there is no partiality. Since time is liberated, there is no basis for dependence. Since it is effortlessly liberated, it is also free from diligence. Since it is liberated by itself, there is no need for other antidotes. Since it is primordially liberated, it is free from the basis of repetition. Since it is nakedly liberated, it vanishes in the place of seeing. Since it is completely liberated, there is no effort. Thus, it should be introduced. The third introduction is the introduction of the three self-liberations. First, the self-liberation of the five poisons: when unbearable attachment arises externally and internally, look directly at its nature and let it go. It is liberated in its own place into the wisdom of indivisible bliss and emptiness. Similarly, when coarse anger arises, look directly at its nature and let it go. It is self-liberated into the wisdom of indivisible clarity and emptiness. When the unexpressed consciousness that does not discriminate anything, and when dullness and darkness arise, look directly at the nature of ignorance and let it go. Destroy the abiding peace that remains and throw it into self-liberation.
