All Buddhas also attain Buddhahood by realizing the meaning of their own minds. All sentient beings, not realizing the meaning of their own minds, are deluded and wander in samsara. So, what is this self-mind that is the creator of all Buddhas and sentient beings, and that fully encompasses all of samsara and nirvana? It is introduced through the stages of the pith instruction path: When you examine and look at your own face, you cannot see it; it is emptiness. It is a nature that cannot be expressed. It is beyond hope and doubt, being neither yes nor no, neither existent nor nonexistent, and it is free from all rejection and acceptance, negation and affirmation. This is called the completely pure self-mind, so recognize it! Realize its meaning! The vast and towering external world, the three thousand worlds, with excellent materials and beautiful arrangements, including Mount Meru, golden mountains, and houses, as well as the realms of form and formlessness, the peak of existence and the hell of uninterrupted suffering—all these are also the clinging arising from the delusion of one's own mind. Although they appear in this way, ultimately the end of all who are born is death; the end of all gatherings is separation; the end of all accumulations is exhaustion; the end of all that is built up is collapse. At the end of an eon, seven suns and one flood will utterly destroy everything into emptiness. It is inseparable from and cannot be made separate from the present self-mind. Alas! Sons of the lineage, all these forms that appear are also emptiness! There is no form other than emptiness; there is no emptiness other than form. Therefore, realize the great meaning of the self-liberation of appearances! All sounds of your own appearances, sounds arising from outside, sounds entering within, good or bad, large or small—as long as there is sound, it becomes empty; there is nothing that is truly established. Realize the meaning of non-grasping, sound-emptiness, and inexpressibility! Similarly, know that feelings, formations, and consciousness, together with all these, arise from the power of not realizing the emptiness of one's own mind, and that there is nothing other than emptiness! All realms of samsara and nirvana are emptiness; their essence is free from definition and expression; it is unborn from the beginning; it does not abide in the middle; it does not abide in the end; there is no obscuration; and one does not even attach to the nature of being free from obscuration. That nature has no form; no color; no shape; no feeling; no perception; no formation; and no consciousness; no

And the eye, and the ear, and the nose, and the tongue, and the body, and the mind, and the realms of forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile objects are also nonexistent. Thus, the clinging appearance of grasping as existent what is nonexistent, the outer and inner world of containers and contents, the illusory body, etc., realize the meaning that there is nothing other than emptiness. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. Second, the introduction of example, meaning, and scripture is: In the Mother Tantra it says: In the sky, even the eastern direction is not specified, and the south, and the west, and the north, and the above, and the below, and the directions, and the intermediate directions are also not specified. The sky is not round, nor is it square, nor is it blue, nor is it yellow, nor is it past, nor is it future, nor is it happening now. In the sky, there is no birth or cessation or other change. The sky is not to be known, nor is it to be obtained. The sky is not with form, nor is it without form. The sky is not permanent, nor is it impermanent. The sky is not light, nor is it darkness. It is said that the sky is the opportunity for limitless sentient beings, because there is no mind, so know that the sky is nonexistent. Because the sky is nonexistent, so know that the Great Vehicle is nonexistent. And, in the Jewel Heap Sutra it says: All phenomena are like dreams and illusions, empty in their own nature and without self, but children decide whether they exist or not. And, in the King of Samadhi Sutra it says: Permanence and impermanence, these are also two extremes, purity and impurity, these are also two extremes. Therefore, completely abandon both extremes, and the wise should not abide in the middle either. And, in the King of Samadhi Sutra it says: Whatever exists in this world, goes under this heap of water. As it is below, so it is above, all phenomena should be known as such. And, in that same sutra it says: Just as in the sky, slightly without clouds, in an instant the circle of clouds appears, know from where it first arose, all phenomena should be known as such. Therefore, from the words of the Buddhas, with the sky symbolizing the words of scripture, have confidence in the order of introducing the mind itself, the maker of all meanings, as emptiness. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. Third, the introduction of the unexplainable meaning is: The body's dwelling,
