Regarding those who consider the world and gods as permanent, if they are permanent, they cannot function because they do not change; if they can function, they are pervaded by impermanence, thus being refuted by the reasoning that prevents permanent entities. As for the causeless, since the causeless does not rely on others, it will either always exist or not exist, thus being refuted. For that which the basis of imputation is not established, characteristics such as one, different, large, and small are unreasonable, thus being refuted. If time and parts are examined, momentary indivisibility and atomic indivisibility are not established, and because of no-self, the abandonment of gods and humans is also refuted. The infinity of the world cannot be established, because due to the cause of infinity, the entire world cannot be a single whole; having an end is also impossible, because wherever there is space, there is no obstacle to the birth of sentient beings. All cases of being both are refuted because contradictions do not gather on one basis; the case of being neither is also impossible, thus being refuted. Among the forty-four views that rely on external extremes, sixteen claim to have consciousness, eight claim to have no consciousness, eight claim to be neither conscious nor unconscious, seven are annihilationists, and five claim to attain nirvana in this life. The first, four types of consciousness: claiming the self is consciousness of form, claiming it is not consciousness of form, claiming it is both, and claiming it is neither. Similarly, four types of self: having an end, not having an end, etc. Four types of self: happiness, suffering, etc. The self is the consciousness of being only one, different, small, and large, totaling sixteen. The second, claiming no consciousness: the self is form with no consciousness, like hair and nails; not form with no consciousness, like space; claiming it is both; four claiming it is neither. The self has an end and no consciousness, etc., four types, totaling eight. The third, the eight that claim to be neither conscious nor unconscious are: the self is form, neither conscious nor unconscious, etc., four types; the self has an end, neither conscious nor unconscious, etc., four types, totaling eight. The fourth, the seven annihilationists are: humans and gods of the desire realm, and the three of the form realm and the four of the formless realm, all seven of whom believe that the continuation of life is cut off after death. The fifth, the five who claim to attain nirvana in this life are: the gods and humans of the desire realm and the four dhyanas, if they are very accustomed to their respective dhyanas in this life, they claim to attain nirvana in this life. For these, refuting the self and having an end, etc., has the same meaning as before, because of no-self, those who have consciousness, etc.

If there is no place to be established, and if unconsciousness becomes self, then it cannot be the basis of suffering and happiness, etc.; because the presence or absence of consciousness, etc., are contradictory, therefore, both being and not being are not established; annihilation is not extinguished in an instant, and it is not established as a permanent thing, therefore, the reason for obstructing annihilation, and for being born in the desire realms, etc., the continuity of birth and death is not established; merely being accustomed to desires and meditation, therefore, one cannot attain nirvana, because these have not transcended the nature of samsara, and are not the means of permanent liberation. One hundred and twenty kinds of Parnashavari, etc., namely Parnashavari, Vaisheshika, non-worldly, livelihood, Tridandin, etc., the rules of these one hundred and twenty schools are, from the aspects of past occurrence, present existence, and future occurrence, there are three hundred and sixty kinds, all of which speak of permanence and annihilation, therefore, they wander in non-paths like a spinning wheel. The first of the eleven categories, the ten equalizers are: the equalizer in the Shravakas is the nominalist, the equalizer in the Pratyekabuddhas is the eater, similarly, the equalizer in the Cittamatrins is the subtle one, the equalizer in the Madhyamikas is the great subtle one, the equalizer in the activities is the intelligent one, the equalizer in the conduct is the wise practitioner, the equalizer in the Yoga Tantra is the wise combiner, the equalizer in the Father Tantra is the strict practitioner, the equalizer in the Mother Tantra is the Vaisheshika, the equalizer in the non-duality is the fainting achiever, these are divided from the five elements and the five great realms, there are one hundred kinds. These divisions, although not separate schools, are merely names. The nine constant and unchanging things are: believing that the general characteristic is permanent, and that the individual Ishvara and Vishnu are permanent, the words of the Vedas are permanent, the inexpressible self is permanent, the tangible is permanent, the qualities are permanent, the nature and the self are permanent, the nine meanings of the word are permanent, the place of knowledge is considered permanent, for these, the permanent nature, the self, and the transformation of nature have three kinds, the knowable, the knower, the tangible time, in the way of behavior, the general characteristic, the relationship, the power of effort, etc., eleven kinds are alternately measured, there are one hundred and one kinds. For these, some say that if nine roots alternately measure eleven, then ninety-one will appear, and on top of that, add the two kinds of general and individual permanence, etc., but it should be examined according to the source. The six deniers are: the Vaisheshika, in order to establish that the person is omniscient, establishes not speaking as a syllogism. The Samkhya, in order to establish that the self exists in everything
