The son of Hearing, named King Sāla, resided there. I first placed him in the grasp of unsurpassed Bodhi, Arranged him in the six perfections, and he received the prediction of unsurpassed perfect Bodhi. Thus, proclaiming the names of the Buddhas, their seats shook, and even the sending of Bodhisattvas was as mentioned above. In short, from the presence of countless Buddhas in the ten directions, immeasurable Bodhisattvas came to this land. The Buddhas of those lands sent flowers and inquired about their well-being, and sent messages saying: "That Tathagata Shakyamuni is our spiritual friend. We were first placed in the grasp of Bodhi, arranged in the perfections, and received predictions. Now, having become Buddhas, they teach the Dharma to sentient beings." Thus, when the immeasurable Bodhisattvas who came from the ten directions gathered, the Tathagata Shakyamuni, through his miraculous power, caused the bodies of all the sentient beings gathered in this Sahā world to become the size of a yojana each. Although all the land and space of this realm were filled with such sentient beings, there was not a single place that was not filled. All those sentient beings only saw the Tathagata Shakyamuni, and only saw empty space, and no one could see each other. In their field of vision, Mount Meru and its surroundings, and anything else, did not appear. At that time, the Tathagata Shakyamuni entered the samadhi called "Pervading the Sky, Extremely Purified Dharma Realm." Those moon-like beautiful and immaculate flowers also entered all the pores of the Bhagavan's body, and all the sentient beings who belonged to this Sahā world saw them. The minds and mental factors of those sentient beings were also separated from the attention of looking at forms, and they only definitely perceived the pores of the Bhagavan. There, it was like this: for example, like the pleasure garden of the world of Sukhāvatī, there were various precious trees, various fruits and flowers, and various silk ornaments, as well as clothes, umbrellas, banners, flags, and arm ornaments.

Seeing the scene adorned with various strings of pearls, those sentient beings thought: Let us go to visit that garden. Except for the hell beings, the world of Yama, the birthplaces of animals, and the beings in the formless realm among all the sentient beings belonging to the Sahā world, all the remaining sentient beings entered the pores of that Tathāgata from the doors of the pores. Then, the Bhagavan withdrew those miraculous powers and stood up. After that, the sentient beings saw each other and said: Where is the Tathāgata Shakyamuni? Bodhisattva Maitreya said: O sentient beings, you should know that we have all entered the body of the Tathāgata. Then, those sentient beings saw the inside and outside of the Tathāgata's body, and each personally saw how we had entered the Tathāgata's body and gathered together, and they thought: From where did we enter the Tathāgata's body? Who brought us here? Then, Bodhisattva Maitreya clearly told all the complete retinues with a voice, saying: Listen! This is the Tathāgata's miraculous power and transformation, because the teacher who benefits us is teaching the Dharma, therefore all of you sentient beings should contemplate. Then, all the complete retinues paid homage with folded palms, and the Bhagavan taught all the Dharmas that lead to happiness. What is that? It is like this: to be liberated from the mire of samsara, to enter the Noble Eightfold Path, to enter omniscience, and to perfect the self-arisen wisdom of omniscience. Regarding this, the generation of the mind that enters into meditation, the complete dedication has ten aspects, like this: in order to truly generate beneficial things, to abide in all sentient beings with the mind of great compassion, and so on. These are the ten ways of entering all the Dharmas that lead to happiness, until the end, and the characteristics.

The practice of realizing and fully understanding the unobstructed gate, contemplating all phenomena as selfless, and realizing that the mind is without arising or ceasing—what is this? It is the stage of non-retrogression. In this stage, entry and exit are cut off, there is no conceptualization, no wavering, and no abiding. When this Dharma discourse was taught, countless beings, as many as eight times a hundred million kotis of the sands of the Ganges, who had entered the body of the Tathagata, became non-retrogressive from unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. There, countless Bodhisattvas obtained various dharanis and kshantis (patience), and all of them emerged from the pores of the Tathagata's body, marveling, and prostrated at the feet of the Bhagavan. To measure the mandala of the Tathagata's voice and the size of his body, they each went to the Buddha-fields in the ten directions. Then, those Bodhisattvas who went to the eastern direction, even though they passed countless and immeasurable Buddha-fields in the east, the Tathagata
