May I completely give away. If someone asks for something difficult to give away, such as servants and towns, as well as the kingdom and ministers, sons and daughters, limbs and senses, and even skin, flesh, blood, and bones, head and body, and life, may I give them away with the mind of loving-kindness, extremely joyful, for the sake of benefiting sentient beings. May I completely give away that kind of giving that no one has ever done before, and that will not become such a giving when practicing for the sake of the complete enlightenment of a Bodhisattva in the future. Thus, in other lifetimes, in countless eons, may I practice the perfection of giving for the sake of enlightenment, and rejoice in it, and likewise practice austerities with various disciplines and ascetic practices, may there be nothing unbearable for the realms, and may I cultivate the perfection of patience by individually contemplating myself, and strive to contemplate all conditioned phenomena as empty, and contemplate all unconditioned phenomena as peaceful, without turning back from the supreme conduct, and for the sake of abandoning the perversion of all actions, may I practice the perfection of meditation on emptiness, and the patience of wisdom on the dharma of unborn nature. The Bodhisattvas of the past and future, with such joyful and steadfast strength, may I practice such a difficult perfection of wisdom. May the future Bodhisattvas who possess great compassion rejoice in the qualities of discipline, and may my generation of the initial aspiration also accomplish the great compassion of the future Bodhisattvas. In order for the Bodhisattvas to feel rare until the unsurpassed Nirvana, may I practice giving and discipline, etc., without pride and places. For the sake of sentient beings who are separated from the wealth of the noble ones, and whose Buddha-fields are left empty, who abandon the true Dharma, who are accompanied by roots of non-virtue and obtain fear, and who are destroyed by evil paths, I do not seek results, but practice the perfections with joyful and steadfast strength. For the sake of each and every sentient being, for their continuum

In order to plant the seeds of virtue, may I gladly accept the suffering of the beings in the Avici hell for ten great kalpas. Likewise, may I gladly accept the suffering of animals, hungry ghosts, poor yakshas, and poor people. Just as a seed of virtue is planted in the mind of one being, may it be so for all beings. May I fully embrace such emptiness like that of Brahma and such subdued tranquility of mind. In order for me to attain enlightenment in my last existence, except for being obstructed by one lifetime and dwelling in Tushita heaven awaiting the time, even until the end of the kalpa, I will not seek the happiness of the gods. For that long period of time, in this samsara, I will serve the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, as many as the atoms in the Buddha-fields, and to each Buddha, I will offer various offerings as many as the atoms in the Buddha-fields. May I realize virtues as many as the atoms of the fields from each Buddha. May I grant the holding of unsurpassed Bodhi to beings as many as the atoms of the fields, and may I also lead the beings of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles to enter their respective paths as they wish. When there is no Buddha appearing, may I, through the conduct of a hermit, lead beings to the path of the ten virtuous actions, and may I lead them to samadhi and clairvoyance. For those beings who are attached to views and who have faith in Mahadeva, the son of No Greed, the moon, the sun, Brahma, Indra, the Garuda, and so forth, may I, in the form of Mahadeva and so on, in whom they have faith, lead them to virtue. May I satisfy hungry beings with my own flesh and blood, and may I completely protect suffering beings with my own body and life. Bhagavat, for that long period of time, for the sake of those whose minds are confused and whose roots of virtue are completely diminished, when I practice with the power of great strength, in that long samsara.
