Shortly, lower your gaze slightly and place it on a suitable object for viewing. Look at it and generate faith that it is the actual body of the Tathagata. Think to yourself: "Such a Tathagata arises from immeasurable, inconceivable accumulations of merit and wisdom, like the udumbara flower, which appears only once in hundreds of thousands of eons. The Tathagata is perfectly adorned with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, so that those who see him have no displeasure. In the world, including the gods, the Tathagata clearly and distinctly manifests his excellent form. At that time, all beings in that realm commonly see the Tathagata, and he also teaches them the Dharma, displaying various miraculous transformations. For the sake of taming those to be tamed, the Tathagata demonstrates various behaviors such as being born, walking, standing, and sleeping. Through these actions, he also ripens the roots of virtue of immeasurable beings. Our teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha, the Lion of the Shakyas, was also born into the Shakya clan. Eventually, after attaining enlightenment, he taught the Dharma in places such as Vulture Peak (present-day Rajgir, Bihar, India), where bodhisattvas, shravakas, and the majority of people gathered. Remember these signs and appearances. Such a Tathagata, his form and appearance are like this. The Tathagata possesses the aggregates of morality, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and the knowledge and vision of liberation, and so on. He possesses uncontaminated Dharma, and his inconceivable qualities are immeasurable like the sky. The Tathagata holds us with great compassion and has performed countless difficult deeds for our sake. As mentioned earlier, one should understand from the story of how the Brahmin Ocean of Dust generated bodhicitta. In this way, for countless eons, through the six perfections, he accumulated inconceivable and inexpressible accumulations of merit and wisdom, thereby being free from all obscurations, conquering the four maras, perfecting all qualities of Dharma, and attaining the great wisdom body that knows all knowable objects."

Until the edge of space, may it be the refuge, protector, and companion of all sentient beings. Such is the unsurpassed Bhagavan. Remembering him, prostrating to him, reciting his name, seeing his image, and focusing the mind on him, even the smallest root of virtue will become the cause of supreme enlightenment. This is because of the power of the Tathagata's past aspirations and inconceivable wisdom. Therefore, we are fortunate. Thinking thus, one should generate great faith in remembering the Buddha. Then, regarding the form of such a Tathagata, the mind should be neither too tight nor too loose, but in a gentle manner, with mindfulness and awareness not diminished, the mind should be continuously held. From all conceptualizations that are not the object of focus, one should draw one's mind away and abide solely in that. Then, one should strive to gradually, continuously, and wholeheartedly engage as much as possible. In short, one should practice the nine stages of mental abiding in sequence until the desired one-pointedness of mind is achieved. In that, one can focus on the overall form of the body, or, in particular, in order to obtain superior qualities and pacify sinking, one can also hold the mind on the invisible like the crown of the head. In order to obtain samadhi and pacify excitement, one can hold the mind on the svastika (Tibetan: དཔལ་གྱི་བེའུ།) at the heart. In order to accumulate great merit and experience happiness, one can hold the mind on the white and right-curling hair between the eyebrows, like snow and conch. In order to spread the great Dharma sound throughout the world and benefit sentient beings by teaching the Dharma, one can hold the mind on the place where the sixty branches of melodious sound arise, that is, the image of the neck with three Dharma conch lines, etc., in whatever place one likes, without wavering. When holding the mind in this way, at the very beginning, just like holding a snake, it appears extremely untamed and agitated. The initial experience is called the experience of wavering like water in a steep mountain stream. At this time, they will think: one's own mind is always so wavering. As in the "Aryamanjushrimulakalpa," the brave one asked: The mind is like lightning, dew, and clouds, like the waves of the great ocean, like illusion.
