Therefore, all the rivers that exist flow into the great river Ganges (gangā). They join the Ganges and flow into the great ocean. Similarly, if the five perfections are completely mastered by the perfection of wisdom, they will also flow into the omniscient wisdom. Thus and so forth, it is extensively said. In short, relying on wisdom as the chief of the path, in order to achieve the ultimate in abandonment and realization, all these aspects of means such as generosity are taught to assist it, therefore, wisdom as the chief is indispensable. This is the revelation of the great meaning. These so-called limbs, although related to the meditation just mentioned earlier in this chapter, must also be related to all the perfections. Due to the power of the word "limb" and the word "in reality," here it is only revealed that wisdom is the main thing, and it should not be understood as something else. For the reasons mentioned above, those who wish to completely pacify the suffering of samsara should strive to generate the wisdom that realizes suchness. The second part includes establishing the basis as emptiness and determining the path as selflessness. The first part includes: identifying the two truths to be realized, revealing the stages of the realizers, and explaining how to realize them. First: In this way, for all these dharmas covered by all phenomena, we believe that all appearances as dharmas are merely the conventional truth, and the nature of dharma, namely emptiness, is the ultimate truth. As it is said in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: These two truths of the wise ones of the world, you have not heard from others, but have realized yourself. That is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth. As it is said. Among them, conventional is the appearance of illusion, dreams, hair ornaments, etc., which appear as having the nature of arising, etc., even though they do not have it. If the nature of these appearances is examined, it is the state of being devoid of arising, etc., which is the ultimate truth. As it is said in the Introduction: By truly seeing that all things are false, one will grasp the two natures of things. What is truly seen is the ultimate truth, and what is seen falsely is the conventional truth.

It is said to be the conventional truth. Thus it is. Therefore, if such two truths are different in ultimate truth and one in conventional truth, then they will be harmed by four faults. It should be understood as stated in the Sutra Explaining the Intention. Moreover, for that ultimate truth, the emptiness of merely negating the negation of arising and abiding, etc., which are negated, is only the gateway to entering the great emptiness that is free from the four extremes. Therefore, it is called the nominal ultimate truth or the similar ultimate truth. As it is said in the Ornament: 'Because it is in accordance with the meaning of the ultimate, this is called the meaning of the ultimate.' Thus it is said. For the time being, for those who are accustomed to clinging to things from beginningless time, there is no opportunity to generate the wisdom that is free from the four extremes. Therefore, it is necessary to first generate the wisdom that distinguishes that all things are not ultimately existent. Therefore, in all the treatises of the Svatantrika school, all the aspects of negating form, etc., in the Sutras and Shastras are explained as the nominal meaning that merely negates the existence of truth. Moreover, from that, they do not consider non-existence itself to be the ultimate reality. As it is said in the Ornament: 'Because there is no arising, etc., there is no arising, etc.' And as it is said in the Two Truths: 'In reality, there is no obscuration and it is clear.' Thus it is. Even so, when establishing the path temporarily, although there is no arising in ultimate truth, it is impossible to prevent the appearance of arising in conventional truth. Therefore, all phenomena are established in conventional truth as holding their own characteristics by the valid cognition of nominal designation. Since it is not established in ultimate truth as it appears, the difference of ultimate truth is added to the object to be negated, and it is explained that it does not exist in ultimate truth, but exists unerringly in conventional truth. Such a way of placing the two truths separately in their own places without confusing them is certainly easy for beginners. As the teacher Lekdenjey said: 'Without the ladder of conventional truth, to climb to the top of the great mansion of truth is not suitable for the wise.' Thus it is said. However, in terms of the ultimate reality, existing in conventional truth and not existing in ultimate truth, these two characteristics of existence and non-existence are not separate and distinct. Whatever appears, such as form, etc.
