It is not reasonable. If there is no Alaya-consciousness, then the consciousness of continuity, or the six consciousnesses governed by action, if it is shown that these arise from the cause of action, then, there, action should not be the cause of the consciousness of continuity, because that has been extinguished for a long time. Similarly, after a mindless samadhi, the arising of mind is impossible, because at that time, the arising of mind governed by action is impossible. The cessation of samsara is also because the cause of samsara is karma and afflictions, and among them, afflictions are the main ones. If it is cut off, samsara will cease. If there is no Alaya-consciousness, it is impossible to cut it off, because cutting off manifest afflictions does not liberate, the seed must be cut off. Where is the seed? It is in the Alaya-consciousness, so it must be admitted, this is what Buton said. The three natures established in the Mind-Only school: Whatever appears similar to external and internal things by discrimination, and whatever discriminations are made on the objects of self and phenomena, that is the nature of complete imputation, and it does not exist. The Sutra also says, "Subhuti, just as children are attached to appearances, so are all dharmas empty." The nature of other-dependence is: the discrimination of mind and mental factors and the three realms, which is the nature of other-dependence that arises from other causes and conditions. The unchanging, perfectly established nature is: on the nature of other-dependence, as mentioned before, that which is always non-existent, imputed by grasping and being grasped, is the perfectly established nature. Therefore, the perfectly established nature that is free from complete imputation is not different from other-dependence, because that is its dharma nature; nor is it non-different from other-dependence, because there is a difference between dharma and dharma nature. For example, it can be said that suffering and selflessness, such as impermanence, are both other and non-other, and non-non-other to impermanence, etc. If impermanence is other than actions, then actions will not be impermanent. If it is not other than actions, then actions will be destroyed and become non-existent, just like impermanence. If other-dependence has no grasper and grasped, then how does it grasp? If it does not grasp, then how is it known to exist? The perfectly established nature is realized by the transcendental non-conceptual wisdom.

If that (Dharmata) is not directly seen, not realized, not manifested, then through the subsequent pure worldly wisdom, the state of other-dependence is not seen as it is. Through non-conceptual wisdom, the perfectly established is seen as like the sky, therefore the meditative equipoise is like the sky. Through the wisdom of subsequent attainment, all dharmas are seen as like illusions, dreams, mirages, and so on. Such a nature is of three (natures). Regarding the three kinds of no-self-nature, contemplating that all dharmas are without self-nature, without arising, and without ceasing, this is what is to be explained. What is it? First, the completely imputed is called the no-self-nature of its own characteristic, because its characteristic is merely the completely imputed of discrimination, therefore, the characteristics of form, etc., that are to be grasped, because they do not have those characteristics, are without self-nature like a flower in the sky. Other-dependence, which is other than the completely imputed, is also like that. It arises from other conditions and does not arise by its own power, so it is called the no-self-nature of arising, which is a different term from the previous one. The ultimate truth of the object of knowledge is also like the sky, with the same taste, without defilement, and unchanging, therefore the perfectly established is the ultimate truth. Thus, this is the suchness of all dharmas, and it is also the ultimate truth, and it is the self-nature of no-self-nature or no-entity in the ultimate truth. Whether it is the stage of ordinary beings, noble ones, learners, or non-learners, suchness does not change. There is only the mind-only that has completely understood that extremely pure one. As long as the yogi's consciousness does not abide in such a mind-only nature where duality is not established, then the habitual tendencies of the two graspers of the grasped and the grasper will remain in the alaya consciousness, and will not be reversed. If one only focuses on the mind-only that is separate from meaning, can one abide in the dharma nature of the mind? No. Or, in order to eliminate those who have arrogance, who think that they abide in the pure mind-only just by hearing. Whatever these are nominally established as dharmas, because there is no other meaning of the grasped, it is only mind-only, so it is thought that it is focused on through phenomena. Whatever is focused on
