Not to be lazy and not to be poor in the resources for practice. When a yogi practices, in order to subdue the gods and demons, recite: Om Pi Tha Gra Na Ye Svaha (藏文:ཨོཾ་པི་ཐ་གྲ་ན་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ pi tha gra na ye svāhā,汉语字面意思:) on peacock feathers and burnt feathers and wear them. Recite the above mantra on white and red bodhi seeds, cinnabar, cardamom, camphor, etc., and apply it to the forehead, which can subdue the gods and demons and make them obey orders like servants. The above is taken from the profound terma of Padmasambhava. The oral instructions of the great Indian master, the master of yoga accomplishment, say: When a yogi stays in a monastery, if his mind is drowsy, hateful, wants to go to the city, is unwilling to practice diligently, and is unhappy in his heart, then use the auspicious connection of the tripod to calm his mind: First, pray to the guru, take one of the three tripods, one on top of the head, one on the ground, and then circle it three times to the left. Write Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:) on your forehead with the black dirt of the tripod on top of your head, write Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:) on your throat with the dirt of the tripod in your hand, and write Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:) on your heart with the dirt of the tripod on the ground. Then lie down facing north. The auspicious connection of the tripod, how you do it yourself, can be done for others as well. When a yogi goes to a secluded place, if the appearance of clinging is strong, because he has not let go of this life, the progress of practice is small, and he does not turn away from samsara, then use the blessing of the staff to transform the appearance: Write the names of the lineage gurus on a staff one cubit long, tie one bre of items to one end of the staff and wave it in the air during the day, and tie one or two liang of items to the other end and let it rotate above you at night. When you sit on the mat, put it underneath. When walking, go back and forth under it. Sometimes circle around it and dust off the dust on the peacock feathers. Forcibly transform the appearance, this is the auspicious connection of the staff. When a yogi lives in a secluded place or a place with blessings, if his mind feels empty, feels fear and goosebumps, is afraid, dare not go out at night, and feels afraid, then use the blessing of the skull to generate courage: First, on the top of your head, visualize the root on the lion throne

Visualize inviting the Lama. Possessing the signs, offer dry and wet nectar of the Vajra Mix your own excrement and urine in a skull and smear it on your forehead. Cover your chest with a kapala in your left hand. Lie on your back once with your head facing east. Then get up, hold a vajra, damaru, and tingsha, and dance. Say whatever comes to mind, or blow a flute and ring a bell on a cliff. When a yogi stays by a lake or on the edge of the land and wants to take a vow of asceticism, but the food is not to his liking, his mind wanders, and the habit of wanting to associate with people arises, the method of using the blessing of the skull to bring the mind back to its original state is: First, pray to the Lama. Draw a swastika with vermilion on the skull of a marmot, and then draw a crossed vajra on a white pebble and place it on the skull. Place one hundred and eight arrows on top of it. Use that substance as a pillow at night. During the day, without moving the pebble on the skull, expose it to the sun. When a yogi stays in a market or other place and is distracted by the noise, and grasping arises in his mind and virtuous deeds cannot be accomplished, the method of dispelling obstacles with the auspicious blessing of the horn is: First, pray to the Lama. Know that praying to the Lama must be done first in all the auspicious practices that will be explained below. Place many horns of deer, musk deer, and gazelle into a large horn of a sheep. Seal the opening with three types of buckwheat, peas, and mottled peas, hide it under the threshold of your door, draw images of a yak and a tiger on the two sides of the damaru, and stand on the threshold with an angry expression, playing the damaru, and the obstacles will be dispelled. If a yogi meditates for a long time but cannot generate experiences, spread a silk cloth in front of you. Place two mirrors on it, facing you, concentrate your mind in the middle of the two mirrors, and do not let your mind wander to your own face in the mirrors on the left and right. After practicing in this way for a long time, non-conceptual wisdom will arise in your mind. If the mind does not abide and is scattered, support the two mirrors on the left and right with a damaru and tingsha, put the two mirrors together, wrap them in silk, and use them as an image of the Lama.
