Now, no matter how large or small a Buddha statue is made, if it is measured by dividing it into ten equal parts from the topknot to the soles of the feet, and each major part is divided into thirteen and a half minor parts, then those parts of the Buddha statue that increase by half a minor part are long, and the rest are reduced by that much. On the basis of every twelve fingers, half a finger is subtracted according to the standard of the Bodhisattva's height. In the end, the horizontal width is the same as the Bodhisattva's height of one hundred and twenty fingers, only the lengths of the various parts are different, so I realized that this might be a mistake. Therefore, taking a standing ten-finger statue as an example, it is absolutely necessary to determine in all cases that the major part divided into ten equal parts from the topknot to the feet is further divided into twelve minor parts for all statues. In addition, each facial dimension of the Buddha statue increases by half a minor part, for a total of five minor parts; those that do not increase should be measured according to the usual Bodhisattva height. For example, if we take the Buddha statue and the Bodhisattva statue of equal height as an example, if we draw the Bodhisattva statue instead of the Buddha statue of equal height, it can be five minor parts smaller; if we draw the Buddha statue within the height range of the Bodhisattva statue, it must be five minor parts larger than that base, and this must be understood. It would be very inappropriate to regard the difference merely as the way of dividing one face into twelve parts and thirteen and a half parts. Therefore, the division of one face into twelve minor parts should be generally understood for the ten-finger measurement of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the nine-finger measurement of Buddha Mothers, etc. I hope that all those who understand the Tibetan measurement system will study what I have said. If we study in detail the proportions of the face, etc., which are commonly used in painting and sculpture, then the jewel top is two fingers, and the circumference is six fingers. All the "fingers" mentioned here should be understood as one part after each facial dimension is divided into twelve minor parts, regardless of the size of the statue. Therefore, it is necessary to determine according to the above study and use this dimension to measure all parts above and below. Note: The width and height of the base of the topknot are also four fingers, and the circumference is twelve fingers, shaped like a begging bowl or a pile of grain, with the top gradually thinning. The height from the root of the hair to the skull

Four fingers. The Buddha image is five and a half fingers. The hairline to the top of the head, round and spreading like an umbrella, surrounded by forty-five fingers. If it is a protrusion, then between the two corners of the forehead, the width of the forehead is nine fingers each on the left and right, and from this boundary, gradually curve like a bow from the diameter of the hairline. From the diameter of the tip of the jewel to the intersection of the forehead line and the outer line of the ear tip, draw lines on the left and right to know the size of the crown. From above the diameter of the lower line of the cheekbones, measure two fingers each on the left and right, and draw a line from the intersection of the hairline horizontal line and the diameter, the tip gradually becomes thinner, thus knowing the width between the eyes, nose, and corners of the mouth. Measure four fingers down from the hairline, which is the horizontal line of the eyebrow position, from which the position of the tip of the ear and the eyebrows can be known. Connect the line from the center of the hairline to the tip of the nose and the intersection of the ear tip, thereby knowing the angle of the outer shape of the eyes. From the intersection of the horizontal line of the eyebrow position and the line of the ear tip to the previous two cheekbone line tips. Draw lines crosswise from right to left and from left to right, and the four front and back intersecting lines are the central dimension of the mouth and the dimensions of the mouth's outline, etc. Above the diameter of the eyebrow center, there is a white hair, one finger in size, round and white, rotating to the right, with the tip pointing upwards. Then remove the distance of two barleycorns, or measure the horizontal distance of six barleycorns each to the left and right from the eyebrow center diameter, which is the position of the eyebrows. The length is four fingers, with moderate thickness in the middle. Gradually thinning like a crescent moon, beautiful and curved. Its center is raised upwards, and from above to the hairline is three fingers. Below the white hair, the horizontal line measuring two fingers downwards is the line of the lower eyelid of the eye. That is, remove the position of one finger each on the left and right from above the diameter, as the edge of the inner arc of the eye. Therefore, the eyes of the Buddha in meditation are four fingers in horizontal length. The width is two barleycorns, the shape of the eyes is like a bow, the corners of the eyes gradually become thinner, and the lower eyelids are full and upturned. The proportion of black and white is: each of the two corners of the eyes occupies half a finger, the inner corner of the eye close to the nose, and the outer corner of the eye close to the ear. The total length of the eye is four fingers, subtract one finger for the size of the two corners of the eye, and the remaining three fingers.
