Became the master of wisdom. After that, Zhalu Lotsawa Chokyong Zangpo corrected the old Indian text and the commentary's Indian text, and also made some annotations. Later, in the Water Dragon year of the thirteenth Rabjung, Situ Tenpai Nyinje corrected the Sanskrit based on two commentary Indian texts, and carefully corrected the unavoidable translation errors in Tibetan, and then published it in a Sanskrit-Tibetan bilingual edition. Moreover, in India, the Buddhist Pandit Ratna Shri, who was born on the island of Simhala, and these two Indian commentaries written by the great Buddhist Pandit Ngagi Wangchuk Drakpa are very famous in the holy land of India. Situ Tenpai Nyinje obtained these two commentary Indian texts and corrected them carefully based on them, so this work seems very reliable. It is said that whether Ngagi Wangchuk Drakpa is one of the six wise men needs to be investigated. For the text of "Mirror of Poetry," Shongton Lotsawa made a brief chapter-style small commentary, and Phang Lotsawa explained the text completely. Based on these, many Tibetan commentaries appeared, and these commentaries also helped this tradition in various ways, but some difficulties were not understood, and some became misunderstandings, just like the Kham commentary was blocked by Yangchen Ngagi Roltso (Saraswati's Playful Ocean). This Kham commentary, the author is wise and the language is clear, especially because the great grammarian Mahapandita Kunkhyen Tenpai Nyinje gave detailed oral transmission based on the two Indian commentaries, so it was written. Among all the previous Tibetan commentaries, this one seems to be the best explanation. Here it is said: Both the words and meanings are very clear, this excellent work is named "Mirror," seeing that this name is true and meaningful, it was explained with respect and joy. In this explanation, although there is no labor of many words, all the meanings of the work, like the image in the center of a clear mirror, can be understood by just looking at it with the eye of wisdom. Where can the meaning of the subtle power of words be completely and clearly explained, like a jewel of good explanation, it is only a general statement.

I, a child's treasure! Although its characteristics are extremely special, merely stating the rough essentials, what is there to say to fools who are content with their own ideas? To those wise ones who possess extremely refined wisdom, please respectfully accept these precious good sayings! May the feet of the glorious Lord of Speech, Daṇḍin, become an ocean of playful good sayings that generate joy. May this ocean become a dwelling place for all the fortunate swan flocks, where they can rejoice to their hearts' content! From the well-composed with a beneficial mind, may the resulting virtue accumulation, this pure white light, thoroughly dispel the darkness of the hearts of the three realms, and may the feast of the true Dharma be widely spread! May I, in all lifetimes, with unparalleled poetry, clarify the ocean of the Victorious One's Dharma treasury, and be blessed by the Vajra Speech Goddess, and may I achieve the wondrous Lord of Speech! May the degeneration of the times in the world be pacified, may good speech fill the earth, may the precious Buddha Dharma flourish in the ten directions, and may all beings attain the state of omniscience! The crown of a hundred gods, offered with jewels, the joyful face of the Goddess Saraswati, the light of her enchanting smile like a young moon, may it merge into the ocean of milk in my grasping heart! May, through its power, the wondrous Lord of Speech, the perfectly accomplished good sayings, with the sound of speech, fill the three realms with amazing splendor, and may fortunate beings adorn this world with it! Thus, this commentary on poetics, called "The Playful Ocean of Saraswati's Delight," gathers the essence of the good sayings of previous commentaries, and by resolving doubts about certain meanings, it surpasses the previous commentaries. Although there are many poetic commentaries composed by previous Tibetans, with its concise meaning, appropriate length, easy understanding, and systematic explanation, I believe this path of reasoning is beneficial to those who truly seek meaning. Therefore, I, called Mipham Rinpoche Tsokyong Zhadpai Gesar, at the age of sixty-four, started writing on the third day of the winter month (November) of the Earth Bird year (Tibetan calendar), although I intended to write it in one go, due to the influence of other factors for several days, I only wrote one or two pages. However, on the twenty-third day of that month, Sunday, in the first part of the morning when the constellation "Chitra" met, I completed it.
