This indicates that it is the most worthy of respect and not to be forgotten, as it is said, "Worthy of reverence." Therefore, the Sangha, due to their complete purity, are worthy of receiving offerings and so on from others. Secondly, to show that possessing this quality is the best place for giving, there are two phrases: "Having become a place of giving," just as a good field is for crops, it is very meaningful to offer to it, because it produces excellent and extraordinary immeasurable fruits of benefit and happiness. "Everywhere also becomes a great place of giving," that is, in all places and times, that is, in all places of the world, it becomes a great place of giving, meaning that there is no other place of giving like this. Worldly people are defiled by afflictions, but this (the Sangha) is liberated from them, like a spotless wish-fulfilling jewel king. The latter six words, from the object of the accumulation path practitioner joining palms, to the object of reverence of the path of joining. The latter four words are also said to be from the stream-enterer to the non-learner Arhat. In short, if the supreme Dharma of the path is truly established by reason, then for studying

Merely remembering the name of this 'Source of Emanations' (བྱེ་བའི་འབྱུང་གནས།, -, -, Source of Emanations) can liberate one from all forms of decline, as stated in the 'Noble Banner Peak Sutra': "If fear, dread, or trembling arise, remember the Buddha. If you cannot remember the Buddha, remember the Dharma. If you cannot remember the Dharma, remember the Sangha. By doing so, you will be liberated from all fears." When the war with the Asuras drew near, Indra said to the gods, "If you feel fear in battle, remember my supreme banner peak that brings victory. If you cannot remember that, remember the supreme banner peak of the powerful son of the gods. If you cannot remember that, remember the supreme banner peak of the son of the gods, the water god; by doing so, fear will be dispelled." Likewise, it is taught to remember the Three Jewels, and by doing so, one obtains immeasurable merit, as stated in the 'Throwing Stone Sutra': "The lineage of abiding, yet those who generate roots of virtue towards the Buddha will not be exhausted in samsara, will not be depleted, and will also attain the inexhaustible Nirvana. Generating roots of virtue towards the Dharma, and generating roots of virtue towards the Sangha will not be exhausted in samsara, will not be depleted, and will also attain the inexhaustible Nirvana." Thus, the width of Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent) is seven thousand yojanas, the width of Videha (the Eastern Continent) is eight thousand, the Western Continent is nine thousand, and the Northern Continent has ten thousand yojanas; these can be measured by steps, but generating roots of virtue towards the Three Jewels cannot be measured. Likewise, Mount Meru and its surroundings can be weighed, and the great ocean can be measured with a pot, but generating roots of virtue towards the Three Jewels cannot be measured. These are just a few examples, but in reality, the qualities of the Three Jewels are even more vast than the expanse of the sky, immaculate, supreme, and unsurpassed. Therefore, the benefits of devotion to them are also immeasurable. Therefore, all true refuges are contained within these Three Jewels. If wise individuals remember the qualities of these three and vow to take them as their ultimate and true refuge, from that moment on, they begin to end samsara and initiate the beginning of lasting happiness.

It is established. Thus, although all Buddhas have the same intention, due to the immeasurable play of aspiration and prayer, the Victorious Ones of the three times are countless. The qualities of a single pore of each one's hair and a single ray of light from their body are such that even if the Tathagata were to speak of them with the sky as a measure, they could not be exhausted. To bring all of these to mind at once; and as it is said, the benefits of hearing and reciting a single verse of the sacred Dharma are immeasurable, likewise, to see all the sacred Dharma of all times and directions as the true path and to bring it to mind; and the immeasurable noble Sangha residing in the ten directions and three times, even the root of virtue created by one residing in the Samadhi of Loving-kindness is immeasurable, what need is there to say that the benefits of making all of them the object of faith are even more immeasurable? To have faith in this place, even reciting this sutra once is the source of all the merits arising from the Three Jewels, what need is there to say that the benefits of teaching and so on are even more immeasurable? Just by listening to this sutra well once, one should know that obtaining a human body has become a great matter. The supreme source of glorious auspiciousness and countless virtues, the banner of the fame of the Three Jewels, moved by the wind of the fragrance of good speech, the inexhaustible sound of auspiciousness, completely eliminating all the decline of the world, constantly enjoying perfect fortune, the door of the light of the auspicious path of dependent arising, opened by the one who possesses the treasure of auspicious Dharma. The youth of the new moon of excellent intention, always abiding in the realm of the supreme wisdom of the sky, May the white light of benefit and happiness illuminate the world, may the auspiciousness of joy increase everywhere. In the land known as the auspicious peak of the gods, at the time of the gathering of the auspicious and perfect offerings, by the power of the auspicious and numerous virtuous causes, the victory banner of the undying words of auspiciousness is raised. By this good deed, may the glorious and auspicious Lama remain steadfast for a long time, may the Sangha increase, may the glory of the benefit and happiness of beings be perfected in their deeds, may it never diminish and always increase. Thus, it was also done by taking the words of the venerable Lama Tashi, who possesses the rare qualities of a wise, virtuous, and excellent person, as an earnest request on the crown of my head.
