The Commentary on the Sutra of Recollecting the Three Jewels: The Auspicious Inexhaustible Sound. The Commentary on the Sutra of Recollecting the Three Jewels: The Auspicious Inexhaustible Sound. This is the treatise called "The Commentary on the Sutra of Recollecting the Three Jewels: The Auspicious Inexhaustible Sound." Namo Guru Manjughoshaya. With a peaceful hand that breathes life into existence. Destroying the deceiving forces of the four maras' battle array. Possessing the wheel of the wisdom sword that annihilates. Whose lotus feet adorn the crown of the hero. Complete with wisdom and compassion, like the full moon. Adorned by a garland of stars of the noble assembly. May auspiciousness prevail through the radiant light of the nectar of the sacred Dharma, which eradicates the epidemic of samsara! Here, in this vast ocean of samsara, without beginning or end, all beings within samsara, both self and others, desire happiness but due to the power of past actions, from the peak of existence to the depths of Avici hell, the various appearances of pleasure, pain, and indifference, like a painted picture, should be carefully examined. If examined closely, like cooking rice in boiling water, all things such as high and low, prosperity and decline, pleasure and pain, are without any certainty, merely moving like a momentary dance of lightning. Furthermore, the mind, deluded by ignorance, even when led to meritorious and virtuous actions, does not enter; it naturally enters into the realm of non-virtue, just as a goose swims in a lake and a vulture roams in a charnel ground due to habit. Therefore, the wealth of happiness is difficult to obtain, and suffering is intense. If separated from the path of liberation, there is no end, wandering in samsara. Consider this well. Such vast and prolonged suffering is experienced by myself and all mother-like beings, filling the sky. Upon which protector should we rely to be permanently saved from decline? Those with intelligence should carefully examine this. Who in this world knows the means to end suffering, possesses the compassion to save all beings, and has the ability to save? Who is this person? When thinking in this way, Brahma, Indra, and Samkhya...

and so forth, nor did I hate those aspects. Nor was I attached to the Buddha, the Bhagavan. Whoever is able to protect forever, take refuge in that one. When measured by the reasoning of factual strength, even though the Teacher, the King of the Shakyas, is not now within our realm of activity, when we see that the path he taught, the system purified by the three examinations, is the correct method for reversing existence (samsara), then, based on that, the wisdom with which the Teacher himself directly accomplished that method, and the love with which he taught it to others, and the power to protect forever from the decline of existence by such a method, I believe that only the Buddha, the Bhagavan, is capable of this. When contemplating with the stainless wisdom that is united with the light of the scriptures taught by that protector himself, these sufferings of existence are not without cause or self-existent, because they would constantly be either existent or nonexistent, nor do they arise from non-causes such as a permanent Ishvara, because cause and effect do not follow each other in arising and ceasing. All of these are merely appearances of interdependent origination. If they did not arise from interdependent origination, they would not become a path of appearance, like the son of a barren woman. With the firm certainty of valid cognition, one knows that there is a path that can end suffering. Moreover, wrong paths such as saying that violence is dharma, and non-paths such as relying on five fires to exhaust karma, do not contradict the cause of existence. But this, which teaches the doctrine of selflessness that extracts the seed of ignorance, the root of all existence, is the correct path. As it says in the sutra: "People frightened by fear, Mostly go to mountains and forests, Gardens and places of offering, They go for refuge to large trees. That refuge is not supreme, That refuge is not the highest, Having relied on that refuge, One will not be liberated from all suffering. Whenever, wherever one goes for refuge to the Buddha, The Dharma, and the Sangha, Suffering, the arising of suffering, The complete cessation of suffering, The eightfold noble path of bliss, One will go to nirvana, With wisdom one sees, The four noble truths. That refuge is supreme, That ref
