One should be cautious in abandoning the attachment to the four meditations, and diligently study the four noble truths, which are the basis for generating the supreme wisdom spoken by the wise Thubpa (Buddha). By studying in this way, suffering will be pacified, body and speech will be subdued, and constantly maintaining mindfulness, guarding or protecting one's own mind abiding in mindfulness, one will attain the state of no sorrow, the end of birth, and the peace of Nirvana. Sixth, the Uposatha of Kashyapa Buddha: His Shravaka disciples had no great faults, but only the faults of disliking generosity and seeing many enemies. To abandon these faults, one should practice generosity, so that the merit of happiness will greatly increase in the cycle of enjoyment; if one is well disciplined by morality, the causes of enemies such as killing and stealing will not occur. With the virtue of meditation, one can completely abandon the undesirable results that mature from anger and other sins, and by exhausting the afflictions with non-outflow wisdom, one will attain the Nirvana with remainder and the Nirvana without remainder. Some think that the three merits mentioned above are excellent in order, and that the non-outflow is the supreme, incomparable. Seventh, the Uposatha of Shakyamuni Buddha: For twelve years, the Buddha's teachings remained unharmed. When reciting the Uposatha on the fifteenth of each month, one should not commit any sins, which is the training of morality; one should practice perfect virtue, which is the training of wisdom; one should subdue one's own mind, which is the training of higher mind. These three are the teachings of the Buddha, the Bhagavan. Good is the discipline of the body, good is also the discipline of speech, good is the discipline of the mind, good is the discipline in the three doors or in all times and places. The Bhikshu who is well subdued is the one who is perfectly endowed with morality, and is liberated from all suffering, which is the fruit of morality. How to be liberated? Guard the speech, well subdue the mind, do not commit unwholesome deeds of the body, if one diligently practices these three paths of action of the three doors, one will attain the non-outflow path spoken by the supreme sage. Second, exhortation to diligently practice: Vipashyin Buddha, Sikhin Buddha, Vishvabhu Buddha, Krakucchanda Buddha, Kanakamuni Buddha, Kashyapa Buddha

Then, the sage Shakyamuni Buddha, with the lineage of Gautama, prostrates, subduing the beings to be tamed, such as gods and humans, and like a horse trainer, flawlessly guiding beings, is the supreme protector of the three realms, saving beings to be tamed without delay, is the supreme Buddha Yeshe, endowed with unsurpassed wisdom, and all beings, known by the beautiful names of the seven heroes, this Pratimoksha Sutra, after the initial actions and requests, extensively propagated the five teachings, from which all Buddhas and the Shravakas of that Buddha, also with reverence for this Vinaya, with reverence for this Pratimoksha, attain the unconditioned Nirvana. May it be auspicious! Second, renouncing samsara: One should initiate with diligence, and go to a solitary place in order to surely escape from samsara! One should enter the Buddha's teachings by diligently practicing the Four Noble Truths. Just as an elephant destroys a reed house, one should destroy and drive away the army of the Lord of Death, such as craving. Whoever completely abandons carelessness and diligently practices the Dharma and Vinaya, which are encompassed by the Eightfold Noble Path, by acting in accordance with practice, he will completely abandon the root of suffering in samsara—the cycle of birth, that is, abandon it forever, thereby ultimately cutting off the stream of suffering such as birth. Third, guarding the precepts: Exhorting each other, recovering from downfalls, thereby guarding the precepts; in order to increase and maintain the Dharma and the four assemblies, through the gate of reciting these five Pratimoksha Sutras, the Sangha, from the peaceful and harmonious Uposatha, here performed a harmonious Uposatha. For what purpose was the Sutra recited for guarding the precepts, etc., and for what precepts, etc., was the harmonious Uposatha performed? This precept should be guarded, just as a wild yak living in the cold snowy mountains, guarding its tail with mindfulness, not stretching its tail like a fox's tail, but curling the tip of its tail, and walking in that way. Fourth, dedicating merit: Whatever merit is accomplished by reciting this Pratimoksha Sutra,
