Since there is no duality of grasper and grasped, it is also not non-empty. Therefore, considering this way, in the sutras such as the Prajñāpāramitā, it is neither empty nor non-empty. Like this, all the reserved words of negation speak in this way, not from one aspect. As it is said, wherever something is absent, then it is seen as empty of that absence, just as it is. Whatever remains here, then it is known to be present here, just as it is. In this way, the nature of emptiness is shown without distortion. As stated in Vasubandhu's commentary, when distinguishing between existence and non-existence with discriminating wisdom, even when mistaking a rope for a snake, the rope is empty of the real snake, although it does not exist in the ultimate sense, the appearance of the duality of grasper and grasped is the unreal conceptualization. At this time, what is absent is the duality of grasper and grasped. Although it appears, it has never been established as such. Therefore, know that conceptualization is empty of the duality of grasper and grasped. Although there is no snake, the rope itself exists nominally, and the absence of the snake itself exists on the rope. Similarly, what remains here is the existence of conceptualization nominally, and emptiness is completely established or exists on it as the nature of reality. Both of these must be acknowledged or considered to exist. If conceptualization is acknowledged to be non-existent, then samsara will be completely cut off, which is a slander of nominal existence. If emptiness is not taken as existing in the way of establishment on the dharma, but is negated, then it will become that the duality of grasper and grasped exists, which is the fault of superimposition in the ultimate sense. Therefore, it is necessary to understand what is negated and what is established in nominal existence, and it is necessary to fully understand the way of acknowledgment. If it goes beyond this, it will become another meaning due to the opposite aspect. Therefore, even in the time of samsara, there arises the unreal conceptualization or the mere consciousness that appears as duality, and this manifest appearance is present without deceiving appearance. Although the duality of grasper and grasped appears as distinct, it is not established in reality. The emptiness that is empty of the duality of grasper and grasped exists on the dharma conceptualization as the nature of reality.

Therefore, appearance is not established in its own nature, or it is determined to be the nature of the union of appearance and emptiness. Therefore, understanding such a principle is the Middle Way that is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, because it truly understands the Dharma nature of things. Second, it is explained through things and sentient beings, etc. So, what is the unreal conceptualization? Like this, only the alaya consciousness appears as various things, appearing as external things such as form, appearing as sentient beings with sense organs such as eyes, appearing as self, that is, the afflicted mind, and the consciousness appearing as the six aggregates of consciousness, which arises due to the power of the habit of conceptualization, just like the appearance of a dream, appearing as various forms of the grasped and the grasper. Although it appears like this, if you observe carefully, the object of the six consciousnesses' grasping is actually not established. Just like the same water, hungry ghosts and humans see it as pus and water, etc., one's own mind appears as the object, and apart from grasping, no independent thing is established, so it is called the external object is not established. Since the grasped does not exist, then the grasper established in reliance on the grasped also does not exist, because the two are established in mutual dependence, not independently. Therefore, although the appearance of the grasper and the grasped exists, the two are not truly established. Therefore, the unreal conceptualization refers to the meaning of being established or existing in substance. If the consciousness with dualistic appearance has never existed, like a rabbit's horn, then it becomes completely non-existent, so no one would think it exists. If, as it appears, the two are established, then it is also impossible to establish it as an unreal conceptualization. Although this is the case, the grasper and the grasped do not exist as they appear, so it is called unreal conceptualization. Although it is not dualistic, because there is a dualistic appearance, it has never existed, like the son of a barren woman, no one has never seen it. Therefore, establishing the unreal conceptualization as the basis or substance of samsara is a faultless tenet, and no one can refute that it is not so. Like this
