A few words about the ground. Therein, merely by the Dharmakāya pervading the realm, the nature of the lineage is not established, because the Buddha's wisdom, which appears to be encompassed by the continuum of others, merely pervades the realm, and all things possess it. However, merely having this is not a reason for all of them to attain Buddhahood. And the Dharmakāya of one's own continuum has not yet manifested, so there is doubt about the sign, and merely a nominal emptiness has no meaning of lineage whatsoever. If your thought is that this lineage, like a seed transforming into a sprout, has no qualities of Buddhahood at present, but if it is grasped by the conditions of the path, it can eventually be transformed, then, the opposite of the negation of truth in emptiness, because it is unconditioned and can function, there is no such distinction that is reasonable for emptiness. Just as the part of a conditioned seed, nominally, is the true absence of the seed that can be transformed into a sprout, it is never possible to transform into a sprout. Furthermore, establishing that one can attain Buddhahood by the key point of being truly empty is also arbitrary. Although it is true that if the mind is truly established, one cannot attain Buddhahood, but if it is not truly established, there is no certainty of attaining Buddhahood. Just as all phenomena such as earth and stones are also truly absent, who can establish that everything that is truly absent can certainly attain Buddhahood? Merely establishing it as a lineage because focusing on true absence can eliminate obscurations is also not sufficient, because merely focusing on emptiness itself, there is no reason to eliminate the obscuration of knowledge, and as you wish, it must be adorned again with infinite accumulations. It is meaningless to consider such a negation of affirmation as the Tathāgatagarbha, because this would become a lineage common to Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and this cannot establish the possibility of attaining Buddhahood, because merely by this, the reason for eliminating the obscuration of knowledge and giving rise to the omniscient wisdom cannot be established, and because the nature of negation itself has no aspect of wisdom, it is impossible for it to know anything even at the time of Buddhahood. Therefore, if you cherish this principle of the lineage of conditioned transformation, then the seeds of wisdom, love, and power that have been present in the mind-streams of all sentient beings since beginningless time, even predators and demons, have love for their own children, and the ability to recognize benefit and harm, etc., if these are grasped by the path, free from obstacles, and increase

If one considers merely reaching the state of possessing immeasurable wisdom, compassion, and abilities, capable of becoming a Buddha, then it is better than considering 'non-affirmation' as lineage. As long as it is a causal relationship that produces an effect, if one abandons the cause that is the momentary, impermanent thing that produces the effect, and considers the non-material, unconditioned thing that does not produce an effect as the cause, that is a surprising thing. Some people think that anything that is without inherent existence is not a lineage, but the nature of mind is only without inherent existence, so it is suitable as a lineage. Even if the mind's lack of inherent existence is a lineage, it cannot produce any effect. The moments of consciousness are suitable as the producers of the subsequent ones, so it seems that you do not need this unconditioned lineage, abandon it. If you do not separate the two truths and establish them separately, but consider the state of the mind's clarity and the nature of emptiness as inseparable as lineage, then, if you consider this to be the unchanging, unconditioned wisdom obtained by distinguishing between consciousness and wisdom, then doing so is completely acceptable, because it can be established by scripture and reasoning. If you keep in mind the object to be combined with emptiness, that is, this part of the momentary consciousness, and think that this will gradually transform into a Buddha, that is not possible. This would cause the fault of lineage having two parts, conditioned and unconditioned. If that is the case, then the useless and powerless unconditioned would become a nominally established lineage, and the conditioned would become the nature of the lineage capable of producing results. Therefore, the view that the self-abiding lineage is the unconditioned, the realm of phenomena, would make the views of all Mahayana sutras empty. Therefore, the mind cannot abandon the lineage established through the causal relationship of what is produced and what produces, even if one says that the pure realm of phenomena is the self-abiding lineage, it is only showing off the signs that contradict one's own wishes and words. Rather than considering the unchanging realm of phenomena as the lineage of the Buddha, one should first recognize the basis to which the word 'realm of phenomena' refers, that is, the great non-conceptual ultimate truth, the union of two truths, the completely non-abiding, the meaning of the Middle Way. If one cannot recognize this, and only considers it as the conventional ultimate truth, it is like seeing a group of monkeys in the forest and mistaking them for the gods of the Thirty-Three (त्रायस्त्रिंश, trāyastriṃśa, thirty-three). The realm of phenomena does not
