With the power of knowing karma and its ripening, it is shown that other than the power of karma, Ishvara (自在天) and others cannot freely protect, thereby subduing the demons who deceive refuge. With the power of knowing all the meditations of defilement and purification, it subdues the demons who deceive purity, thinking that merely attaining the form body of meditation is enough to be liberated from samsara and be pure. With the remaining seven powers, it subdues the demons who greatly deceive sentient beings in the matter of definite emergence through the gate of the Great Vehicle: with the power of knowing all realms, with the power of knowing various aspirations, faith arises; with the power of knowing various faculties, from the differences in the faith etc. of those to be tamed, knowing the differences in their capacities. Afterwards, with the power of knowing former lives and the power of knowing death and rebirth, these two serve as the basis of the path; with the power of knowing the path to all places, it serves as the essence of the path; with the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements, knowing the fruit of definite emergence, thus proclaiming to those to be tamed, thereby subduing other deceptions besides definite emergence through the Great Vehicle path. To you who possess such qualities of the ten powers, I prostrate! The four fearlessnesses are: the fearlessness of possessing the omniscient wisdom, promising the perfection of realization for one's own benefit; the fearlessness of abandoning the two obscurations along with their predispositions, promising the perfection of abandonment; the fearlessness of teaching the path for the benefit of others, teaching the correct path of definite emergence from samsara; the fearlessness of teaching the obstacles to the path, the obstacles or obstructors to the path, namely the afflictions such as self-view and attachment, are obstacles to liberation from samsara, declaring the truth with valid measure. Gods, demons, Brahma, ascetics, Brahmins, or other non-Buddhists cannot refute you with arguments that conform to the Dharma, saying "It is not so." I prostrate to you! The unprotectness is: because there is no stain of fault in body, speech, and mind, there is no need to hide or be cautious for fear of being known by others, and the conduct of the three doors is without hiding or protection. If a fault occurs, it is intentionally abandoned.

Without having forgetfulness-like faults, in the midst of the retinue, not timid and like a lion, you teach the Dharma with unconstrained speech, without attachment to those who listen to the Dharma, without hatred for those who do not listen, and without attachment or hatred for both those who listen and those who do not listen. Therefore, because you possess the three mindfulnesses, having abandoned the two all-pervasive afflictions of attachment and hatred, you completely gather the assembly of the retinue. I prostrate to you. The one who has completely destroyed habitual tendencies, the all-knowing one, you wander for the sake of alms in the city, etc., and inwardly abide in perfect samadhi, constantly for all beings. You do not possess actions that are not all-knowing. Because in all activities such as going and sitting, you always see and know everything and remain in equanimity, you do not deviate from that. Therefore, you do not have even the slightest basis for being criticized for erroneous actions that are not all-knowing. Thus, you possess the true meaning of the name "all-knowing." I prostrate to you. Although the Shravaka Arhats are without afflictions, due to the power of not having abandoned habitual tendencies, sometimes when walking, they may encounter drunken elephants and vehicles, or step on black snakes, or get lost in the darkness, or jump like monkeys, or laugh loudly like a horse neighing, etc. Various unexamined behaviors may occur, but such things never occur to the Buddha. Not having forgetfulness means that you never miss the opportunity to benefit all sentient beings. Therefore, everything you do always has meaning. You do not forget to benefit sentient beings. I prostrate to you. Great compassion is that you diligently observe all the realms of the ten directions six times day and night, constantly watching who is declining and who is prospering, and with what methods to benefit whom. Having great compassion is your nature. This activity of benefiting all sentient beings is what you think about. I prostrate to you. The eighteen unshared qualities are: no mistakes in body, no confused speech, no loss of mindfulness in mind, no non-equanimous mind, no diverse thoughts, no unexamined equanimity.
