In order to fulfill the aspirations made for oneself and others. Having perfected the perfection of meditation, one gains mastery over the mind, and thus one gains mastery over whatever miraculous powers one desires. Gaining mastery over wisdom and the Dharma is accomplished through the power of completely perfecting the Perfection of Wisdom. Obtaining the Dharma is for the sake of practice. This means that obtaining the Dharma is for the sake of realization, that is, realizing the ultimate qualities, such as the ten powers of the Buddha, the four fearlessnesses, and the eighteen unshared qualities. Thus, relying on the four legs of miraculous power, it is for the sake of accomplishing the six types of realization. Fourth, explaining the five faculties: the faculty of faith, and similarly, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and the faculty of wisdom. Among these, faith is the faith that believes in the meaning of existence, such as the infallible existence of the arising of actions and their results, and the faith that rejoices greatly in the qualities of the Three Jewels, and the three types of faith that arise from seeing that one can practice in order to attain liberation and cultivate the noble path, and wanting to attain it, or having faith in the four dharmas, that is, believing in the existence of karmic cause and effect, and not committing sins even for the sake of one's life, and having faith in the conduct of Bodhisattvas, not desiring other vehicles, and believing in the emptiness, the profound nature of the three doors of liberation, the selflessness of the Dharma of dependent arising, and destroying all latent tendencies by becoming a seer with faith, and having faith in all the vast Dharmas of the Buddha, such as powers and fearlessnesses, and practicing these without doubt or hesitation, that is, the faculty of faith that arises from having faith in the four types, as stated in the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence. Practicing the Dharma in which one has faith with the faculty of diligence, which has the nature of the four correct abandonments, is the faculty of diligence. Not forgetting the Dharma practiced with diligence through mindfulness, obtaining the four mindfulnesses is the faculty of mindfulness. Obtaining the samadhi of the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions, and constantly focusing one's mind on the Dharma that has not been wasted by the faculty of mindfulness, is the faculty of concentration. The faculty of concentration

The power of intention focuses on the self and common characteristics of all phenomena, or understanding the Four Noble Truths, is the power of wisdom. After such a general explanation, here, the basis, place, or object of the five faculties is explained, that is: the object or basis of the faculty of faith is Bodhi, which is the result of the Mahayana - inexhaustible wisdom, or the non-dual wisdom of the first ground, focusing on Bodhi, thinking "I must attain it, I must realize it", this is the object. The object of the faculty of diligence is the superior discipline with the characteristics of ground and Paramita, and the practice of Bodhisattvas gathered by superior wisdom, practicing these practices with diligence; the object of the faculty of mindfulness is hearing the supreme Mahayana Dharma, how to hear, how to hold, and thus hold without forgetting to determine in detail according to the words; the object of the Samadhi faculty of faith practice is thinking "how to obtain the superior Samatha of the first ground". The object of the faculty of wisdom is thinking "how to obtain the Vipassana non-conceptual wisdom of the first ground", therefore, it should be known that Bodhi etc. are the basis or object of faith etc., why are these five called faculties? Because in accomplishing all the meanings of purification, they are established as faculties by the power of being able to dominate, that is, faith can dominate Bodhi, diligence can dominate the practice of Bodhisattvas, mindfulness can dominate the Mahayana Dharma, Samadhi can dominate Samatha, and wisdom can dominate the accomplishment of the meaning of Vipassana. Or, the five faculties can also accomplish the meaning of self and others. Fifth, the five powers are explained, that is, the five powers of faith, diligence, mindfulness, Samadhi, and wisdom, when their respective opposing factors cannot be subdued, they are called powers. With the five powers of faith etc. in the stage of faith practice, one can enter the first ground of the noble ones, these powers increase from top to top, although they are the cause of leading to the real holy ground, but not yet

Liberation is included in the status of individual ordinary beings. What is the difference between faculties and powers? Although the five powers are worldly, as long as they are disturbed and obstructed by disbelief, laziness, forgetfulness, distraction, and the delusion of perverse wisdom, they are called faculties. When these unfavorable factors are weak, so that the antidotes, such as the five powers of faith, cannot resist or disturb them, then faith and the like are called powers. Sixth, the seven branches of enlightenment are explained, namely, the branch of mindfulness of enlightenment. Similarly, there are also seven branches of enlightenment: discrimination of dharma, diligence, joy, tranquility, samadhi, and equanimity. Mindfulness is the aspect of calm abiding, so the phenomena that are realized by cultivating and experiencing the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are clear in the mind without being forgotten. Discrimination of dharma is wisdom, which is the aspect of insight. At the time of the path of seeing, one knows the characteristics of the phenomena to be abandoned—the afflicted aspects—and the phenomena to be adopted—the purified aspects—without confusing them. Diligence is to take up the superior qualities, and to abandon the faults that hinder the attainment of such qualities. Joy is the first bhumi
