Those, from where did they pass away in the past, and where will they be born in the future, they can see the forms of the past and future, and the present form. With the Dharma eye, one can see the self and common characteristics of all dharmas, and the faculties of beings, those equal to or inferior to oneself. With the Buddha eye, one can see all dharmas without attachment or obstruction. Other classifications of the five eyes are also explained in the commentaries. Accomplishing the instructions, which are the six superknowledges: relying on the basis of miraculous power, one receives the instructions from the Thus-Gone One, and the cause for oneself to give the instructions to other sentient beings is the accomplishment of the six superknowledges based on meditative concentration. With the superknowledge of miraculous power, one can go without obstruction to the fields of the Buddhas and the abodes of sentient beings; with the divine eye, one sees the bodies of the Buddhas and the bodies of sentient beings; with the divine ear, one hears the speech of the Thus-Gone Ones and the sounds of sentient beings; with the knowledge of others' minds, one knows what sentient beings think in their minds; with the recollection of past lives, one knows where oneself and others were born in past times; with the knowledge of death and rebirth, one knows where one will be born in the future; with the superknowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, in order to exhaust the afflictions that exist in the mindstreams of oneself and others, one receives the instructions from the Thus-Gone One and also teaches them to other sentient beings, and abiding and disporting is: with the superknowledge of miraculous power, in the mandala of the Thus-Gone One's retinue, etc., one disports or plays with miraculous powers and various emanations, and aspiration and so forth. Accomplishing aspiration is: by the power of the wisdom born from aspiration, one can, as one has aspired, transform at will into the abodes of gods and humans, etc., and perform various deeds for the benefit of sentient beings and play. As stated in the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis, the qualities of the body, the qualities of the power of the mind, and the qualities of the voice, etc., of those Bodhisattvas who have taken birth by the power of aspiration, are not easy to express.

Accomplishment is the attainment of the ten powers, by the power of meditating on the four legs of miraculous power, blessing the activities of life, staying as long as one desires, this is power over life. Similarly, entering into immeasurable samadhi of the Great Vehicle as one wishes, this is power over mind. Raining down various desired objects from the sky to benefit sentient beings, this is power over objects. Performing various transformations of body and speech actions, or blessing the actions of beings born in other realms and destinies, causing them to go to other realms and destinies, this is power over action. Abiding in the samadhi of the form realm and not declining from it, being born in the desire realm for the benefit of sentient beings, this is power over birth. Transforming earth into gold, water into nectar, etc., as desired, this is power over aspiration. Represented by the ten great aspirations spoken on the first ground, manifestly accomplishing countless great aspirations that perfectly fulfill the benefit of oneself and others, this is power over aspiration. In order to generate faith in sentient beings, displaying immeasurable miracles and wonders such as burning, flying, and emitting light, this is power over miracles. Reaching the ultimate limit of the four - Dharma, meaning, definitive words, and eloquence, this is power over wisdom. Teaching all the Dharma, such as the Sutras, to sentient beings with various names, words, and letters, satisfying their minds, this is power over Dharma. The causes of the ten powers are obtained from the perfection of the first three paramitas of giving: through the giving of fearlessness, power over life; through the giving of Dharma, power over mind; and through the giving of material things, power over objects. The two powers over action and birth are obtained from the perfection of the paramita of discipline: through the purification of bodily actions, the manifestation of bodily transformations; through the purification of speech actions, the spreading of various speech transformations; and through the complete purification of discipline, the attainment of any desired birth. Through the perfection of the paramita of patience, not disturbing the minds of sentient beings and acting in accordance with their wishes, whatever aspiration arises in whatever place and thing is accomplished accordingly, thereby obtaining power over aspiration. Through the power of the perfection of the paramita of diligence, power over aspiration is obtained, previously through diligence in the benefit of oneself and others.
