Because of practicing the Buddha's teachings such as the ten powers and four fearlessnesses, I am completely matured. The wisdom obtained after other wisdoms is to truly establish the classifications of all the meanings of the characteristics and qualities of the ten grounds, thereby completely maturing sentient beings, that is, manifesting enlightenment and through the way of teaching the Dharma to sentient beings. That is, by completing two countless eons, the path of meditation will be completed or reach the end. From the end of the ten grounds, it is the end of the path of meditation. From the second ground to the seventh ground, it is called meditation with obvious fabrication, and it takes one countless eon during this period. From the eighth ground to the tenth ground, it is called meditation without obvious fabrication, and it takes one countless eon during this period. The end of the path of meditation, after obtaining the position of abiding on the tenth ground, the Buddhas of the ten directions empower the bodhisattva with great light as the successor of the Dharma King, relying on this, obtaining diamond-like samadhi, which cannot be destroyed by the conceptual thoughts of clinging to names. Uprooting the subtle habitual tendencies of the duality of grasper and grasped from the root, thereby reaching the ultimate state of being free from the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies. The great purity of being free from all defilements, and the beings who abide on the eleventh ground of no more learning, in order to benefit all sentient beings, as long as space exists, various activities are diligently accomplished, or the great compassion of becoming the best of sentient beings, and the great realization of directly knowing all aspects of knowable objects without obstruction at the same time, that is, obtaining the unsurpassed state of possessing three great qualities. Fourth, proclaiming the great merits of the oral instruction and subsequent teachings, as stated in the chapter on oral instructions, accumulating merits in this way, and the Buddha Shakyamuni, who is extremely difficult for sentient beings with impure bases to see, can be seen constantly, and from this, hearing the incomparable, that is, the extremely pure power arising from hearing the incomparable oral instructions of the Mahayana Dharma as it is, constantly satisfying one's own mind stream.

How does it become that instructions and subsequent teachings are of great importance to a Bodhisattva? It is because through them, great enlightenment is effortlessly attained, and there is nothing more important than that. For those who abide in such a samadhi of the Dharma gate, the Tathagatas always directly impart instructions. For example, those who are immersed in mud and water and cannot cross over by their own power are easily drawn to dry land by another strong person who grabs their hair or topknot. Similarly, the blessings and teachings of the Tathagatas, with the power of compassion, draw beings from the dense thicket of the faults of samsara and place them in unsurpassed enlightenment. The distinction between instructions and subsequent teachings is that newly revealing a special essential instruction that serves as a means to abandon what should be abandoned and attain what should be attained is instruction. Moreover, the Buddha's teaching is certain to be effective because it is taught in accordance with the dispositions, abilities, and intentions of those to be tamed, having understood them. Subsequent teaching is when the meaning of the instructions that have already been received is repeatedly and thoroughly explained again for the purpose of reaffirmation. Therefore, the Buddhas always encourage Bodhisattvas by praising them in a way that shows their qualities, saying, "Well done, well done, son of good family," for correctly engaging in the training of higher morality, which is summarized by restraining from misdeeds, accumulating virtues, gathering Dharma, and benefiting sentient beings, regarding their own actions or what should be practiced. For those Bodhisattvas whose morality is broken and whose behavior is perverse, they point out the faults and rebuke them. For those excellent beings who delight in practicing the training of higher concentration, which abides without wavering, and the training of higher wisdom, which thoroughly distinguishes the Dharma, they teach them to abandon the faults that are contrary to samadhi and wisdom, and to rely on the qualities that are in accordance with samadhi and wisdom, so that the yoga of shamatha and vipashyana in the Sugata's teaching may become vast and widespread. What are the obstructing factors and what are the conducive factors?
