Just as abiding in making them mature, worldly parents and relatives, towards their respective children and relatives, such thoughts are not perfect, why? Because parents and others, although having love for their own children and others, can only be of some help in this life temporarily, but cannot generate the thought of placing them in the virtue of the cause of constant happiness, and sometimes even make them commit evil. Just as when giving with a loving heart in order to benefit other sentient beings, hoping that other sentient beings will be happy temporarily and permanently, or like that, worldly people do not even have love for themselves, let alone for those others who are extremely disgusted in their hearts? Although each person loves me, due to ignorance, killing and stealing for the sake of this life's happiness, etc., the cause of unwholesomeness, leading to punishment by the king in this life, etc., and suffering many pains in the next life. Similarly, suicide and the practice of bad asceticism such as dog vows and cow vows cause suffering to oneself in this life and the next, and because one does not understand the path of constant happiness, one abandons entering this path. The Bodhisattva's love for all sentient beings is a love that is always good and desires constant happiness. Third, the difference in giving is the six verses that ripen them with the six perfections, and the verse that summarizes the meaning at the end, a total of seven. First, what kind of giving ripens sentient beings? That is, with the three ways of giving everything, giving equally, and giving without satisfaction. If a Bodhisattva sees that his own body and possessions can benefit others, he will not fail to give, even a little, or not at all, but will give up all the possessions he owns. This giving is not only because giving that thing is helpful, but also, the giving in this life itself fulfills the wishes of the other party, thus helping in this life, and by this cause, placing them in virtue and ripening them, thus helping in the next life, and creating the seed of liberation, therefore it is to place them in constant happiness, it is temporary.

And with the two aspects of benefiting permanently, it completely matures sentient beings. That generosity also has the nature of giving equally to all with an equal mind, without bias towards good or bad, high or low, near or far, etc. It is not considered sufficient to give some objects, or to give for some years or kalpas. Even if giving until the end of samsara, one will not be satisfied with the merit of giving. Second, discipline is stable, not occasional, but constantly guarding discipline until the end of all sentient beings is constant discipline. In the translation of the 'Commentary on Stable Intellect,' it says 'constant.' By the power of past habituation, naturally avoiding non-virtue and practicing virtue is the discipline of nature. Especially not harming sentient beings, not even practicing the ten non-virtues in dreams, perfect discipline is obtained on the second ground. 'Self-joy' refers to obtaining the discipline of the joy of the noble ones naturally on the first ground by the power of realizing the truth, naturally abandoning the side of non-virtue, and generating joy in virtue, which is a more realized discipline. 'Vigilance' means that in all conduct, even the subtle obstacles or confusions of falling do not occur, which is the discipline without confusion. Possessing such five disciplines, for the most excellent, from one's own position, one establishes other sentient beings in such discipline, and gives the two benefits of this life and the next, or temporary and permanent. Thus, by establishing in discipline, one continuously obtains the desirable ripening results of being born in the realms of gods and humans, and in future lives, one continuously obtains the qualities corresponding to discipline, thereby maturing others. Third, patience means that when other sentient beings inflict various kinds of harm, great or small, even harming the body and life of a Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva thinks that this is the cause for perfecting his patience, and like a virtuous friend, thinks that this sentient being is beneficial to him. With such a mind, even if they inflict very severe harm, such as cutting off pieces of flesh and bone from the body, one can endure it, let alone minor harm. Thus, the method of cultivating patience is explained.
