Through the power of aspiration, one can understand by merely examining things that have not completely changed in time and manner. Even without realizing the immeasurable sacred Dharma, one can realize selflessness and attain fruition by understanding just one verse of the essence of dependent origination. The profound wisdom of the Great Vehicle is non-conceptual Prajnaparamita, which follows all knowable things and is as vast as the sky. The five sciences and inner science, as well as the Dharma of the three vehicles, have vast and limitless objects. The accumulation of merit of the Great Vehicle is immeasurable like the water of the great ocean, while the accumulation of merit of the Hearers' Vehicle is small like the water in a cow's hoofprint. Thus it is said. Secondly, advising to abandon wrong views about the Great Vehicle, eight verses such as "Beings in that place" are spoken. Inferior beings, because of fear, that is not the place they should be, because of fear of the Great Vehicle, they cause their own minds to suffer and hate the Dharma. By this, they accumulate a great heap of non-merit, and in the future they will suffer the torments of hell for a long time. Like this, what is the cause of abandoning the Great Vehicle out of fear? Because there is no lineage of the Great Vehicle, and because of being controlled by evil friends who hate the Great Vehicle, and because one has not accumulated past merits and is unable to have faith, and in this life one has not studied profound meanings, these will be afraid of the Great Vehicle Dharma. Here, even though the Great Vehicle Dharma exists, not respecting it will cause one to fall from this great meaning, so in any case, understand this and protect yourself from that fault with a mindful mind, thus advising. There is no other vehicle superior to the Great Vehicle, in any time or place. Because its intention is very profound and follows the thoughts or various forms of knowledge of the beings to be tamed. The meaning of following is also explained as the simultaneous appearance of the Great and Small Vehicles. Note: It shows various forms of vast Dharma such as land, Paramitas, Bodhi-paksha, aggregates, elements, sources, places and non-places, and each term of Dharma such as emptiness also has different forms of words and meanings.

Since many sutras often contain teachings through the intention and hidden meaning of the Tathagata, and most of the words spoken are not to be taken literally, therefore, the intention of the Buddha, the Bhagavan, is extremely profound. Therefore, if the wise examine properly, they will not be frightened by this Mahayana Dharma, but will instead give rise to a sense of wonder and reverence. Therefore, it should be examined, and not abandoned without examination. This is the instruction. Even if examined, it may not be possible to obtain certainty, but this is because, with regard to the profound meaning, the wisdom that arises from each individual's own awareness, let alone the wisdom that is in accordance with it, has not yet arisen. The explanation of this is: In this stage of entering the Dharma, first, one relies on hearing, and then the meaning of that arises in the mind. Without hearing, thinking or attention cannot arise. From proper attention, the wisdom of acceptance of conduct of faith, which takes the true meaning as its object, arises. From that, one obtains the first of the noble Dharma grounds. And from that, the wisdom or intelligence of the ten grounds greatly increases. However, whenever those who realize the true profound meaning do so, it is never through mundane wisdom, but through their own self-awareness. If there is no such self-awareness, how can one determine it through other discriminating wisdom? Just as without eyes to see form, one cannot see even with ears, etc. Therefore, even if one does not understand the meaning of the Mahayana, one should not abandon it. One should not think that because I do not know, this is not the correct Dharma. Because I have not accumulated merit, I do not have the fortune to realize the profound meaning, just as a blind person cannot see the sun even though it exists. One should also not think that the Buddhas do not know those things that have not become the object of our wisdom. We are those who are obscured from the true meaning, while the Buddhas are those who possess wisdom free from all obscurations. How could the Buddhas not know what I do not know? Just as a person with cataracts cannot see subtle objects, but the divine eye does not fail to see them. Even if it is profound, one should not think, "Why is it not an object of discrimination?" If one does not transcend the wisdom of discrimination alone, how can the Buddhas directly realize the profound meaning?
