Therefore, impermanence itself cannot be consumed by impermanence, just as no other destruction occurs in an instant. Just as water cannot moisten water. There is nothing that is not impermanent. Therefore, what is impermanence? For example, there is no impermanence in permanence, and similarly, there is no impermanence in impermanence, it should be analogized like this. There is no permanence in impermanence, and there is no impermanence in permanence, therefore, it is both, and it is not both, this does not exist, because what is to be refuted has been eliminated. Thus, it is generally said. From the perspective of the establisher, it also does not exist. Therefore, permanence and impermanence each, and the two of them together, are both eliminated, and it is not neither. Thus it is said. Fourth, refuting the four extremes of permanence etc. that rely on the later extreme: If the world, the self, and the aggregates have an end, that is, annihilation, then how can the other world exist? Like the last aggregate of an Arhat. If the world has no end, then how can the other world exist? Because after the previous aggregate, the later birth is not newly taken, so all the previous and later become one whole. Because the continuum of aggregates follows, and the previous one has ceased, this is like the continuum of a lamp arising and ceasing and emitting light, the previous one has ceased, so it eliminates the endless. The later one arises, so it eliminates the end. Because of that example, saying that "the previous end is this" and saying that "no end is the same" is also unreasonable. If the previous moment is destroyed, and relying on this aggregate that is being destroyed, then the later aggregate will not arise, if that is the case, then like a lamp going out, the world will have an end. If the previous one is not destroyed, and relying on this aggregate, then the later aggregate will not newly arise, if that is the case, then the world will have no end, but these two are unreasonable. If one side has an end, and one side has no end, then the world will be both with and without end, but these two are contradictory, so that is also unreasonable. What is the reason? Because one aspect of the taker will be completely destroyed, and one aspect will not be completely destroyed, then it is harmed by the reason of showing both aspects, so for the taker, these two exist.

That is not a caste. And what kind of reason is there? Because the aggregates of grasping, one part will perish, and one part will not perish, so that is also not a caste. If both the refutable "finite" and "infinite" are established, then the three aggregates of self-nature that are negated as "neither finite nor infinite" will be established, which depends on whether or not it is acknowledged, but it is not. Therefore, there is no gap between the continuity of the former and latter aggregates, and cause and effect alternate, just like a lamp. So it is said. If you look for the five types of grasping, they are not there. Contradiction between perishing and not perishing cannot gather on one basis. So it is said. Second, the common refutation: Or for the ultimate truth, such as freedom from elaboration, all internal and external things are empty like dependent arising images, so for the four extremes of sixteen views such as permanence and impermanence, in which place, at what time, for which person, for what reason will they arise or not arise? Because of realizing that everything is empty. The second is called Examining Views, which is the twenty-seventh chapter. The third is the prostration offering of remembering kindness: The protector, by what cause does he teach the holy Dharma? With extremely pure wisdom and unconditioned great compassion, without expecting rewards, he embraces all beings, in order to abandon all inverted clinging to extreme views, what is to be shown is the wisdom that does not abide in the two extremes, which is the same cause as this, is the cause of perfect abandonment and realization, therefore it is the holy Dharma, or it is held by the power of goodness or the perfection of the two benefits, or it protects from the precipice of the Dharma, politics, and peace of the noble ones, or it is holy because it is praised by the noble ones, it protects from the precipice of all extreme views, therefore, the holy Dharma Prajnaparamita, that is, the nature of the arising of dependent arising and the pacification of all elaborations, is taught. Gautama, that is, the name of the lineage established because he was born into the lineage of the sage Gautama, the unequaled Shakya Lion, I respectfully prostrate with the door of remembering kindness.
