It is the connection. Secondly, regarding the actual treatises with branches, there is a general chapter connection. As Shantideva (ག་ལས་འཇིགས་མེད་, Ga las 'jigs med) and Shantarakshita (སངས་རྒྱས་བསྐྱང་, Sangs rgyas bskyang) said, out of the twenty-seven chapters, the first twenty-five chapters explain how to enter the Mahayana path, and the last two chapters explain how to enter the Shravaka path, and so on. However, the teacher Haribhadra (སློབ་དཔོན་ལེགས་ལྡན་འབྱེད་, Slob dpon Legs ldan 'byed) does not consider the last two chapters as separately explaining how to enter the Shravaka path, and the teacher Chandrakirti (སློབ་དཔོན་ཟླ་བ་གྲགས་པ་, Slob dpon Zla ba grags pa) also agrees with this view. Specifically, in the twenty-seven chapters, the first is the chapter analyzing conditions, and the connection is established at the beginning. The sutra connection is, in the "Inquiry of Anavatapta," it says: "Whatever is born from conditions is not born. It does not have the nature of being born. Whatever depends on conditions is said to be empty. Whoever knows emptiness is mindful." And in the "Perfection of Wisdom Sutra," it says: "Form is unborn," and so on, revealing these meanings. The chapter connection is, in the praise, the meaning of "unborn" is explained as the meaning determined by reason. These two connections should also be understood in the later chapters. There are two aspects to this: explaining the meaning of the text in detail, and summarizing the meaning through the name. The first aspect has three parts: refuting the four extremes of birth, specifically refuting birth from other, and refuting the proof of conditions. The first part is: no phenomenon is born from itself, because if it were born, birth would be meaningless and would become endless. Similarly, it is not born from other, because it would follow that darkness arises from flames, and everything arises from everything. It is also not born from both self and other, because it would incur the faults of both. It is also not born without a cause, because the result would always exist or not exist, and the creation of cause and conditions would become meaningless. Therefore, whatever dependent phenomena, wherever, whenever, in whatever philosophical system they depend, there is never birth, this is the proposition. Here, according to Haribhadra's view, any object, as a subject of debate, inherently has no birth in any place, time, or philosophical extreme, because it is not born from itself even in ultimate truth, and so on, this is how it is established, this is the view here.

Accepting inherent existence. The venerable Chandrakirti said: Whatever things are the subject of debate, in whatever place or time they are established, they never arise, such as arising from themselves, etc. To this, whatever things arise from themselves, there is never any such thing, etc., add these four vows to the end. To this, Buddhapalita refuted by the fault that arising is meaningless, but Lekden meant that there was a fault because no reason or example was established, but Chandrakirti said that because the other party's own view contradicted what was admitted, it was refuted, so no reason or example was needed. The Prasannapadā says that if one is a Madhyamika, then it is not reasonable to measure by the inference of inherent existence, because there is no admission of other schools. As Āryadeva said: Existence and non-existence and neither existence nor non-existence, nor is it the nature of both, liberation from the four extremes, this is the reasoning of the Madhyamikas. And the Refutation of Objections says: If I have some vows, then I will have that fault. Because I have no vows, I am faultless. Quoting these, the difference of ultimate truth is added to the object to be refuted to refute it. Second, there are two: stating the views of others, showing the reasoning of refutation. The first is: To this, the realists of our own school say: It is reasonable to prevent the other three kinds of arising, but arising from others exists, because things must arise from other causes and conditions. The causes and conditions of the fruit arising from something other than itself are of four kinds: such as the cause of the sprout and other fruits, which exists in the nature of the seed, is the causal condition; and the object, such as the object of perception, form, etc., which produces eye consciousness, etc., is the objective condition; and the fruit arises immediately after the cause ceases, so it is the immediately preceding condition, just as the condition of the sprout arising immediately after the seed ceases. And the dominant condition is also the same, that is, there is something different from the previous three conditions, and things arise from it, such as eye consciousness arising from the eye sense, is the dominant condition. The fifth condition, such as the eternal Īśvara, does not exist, they say. Second, there are four: refuting the view that cause and effect are different entities, refuting that the establishment of cause is the opposite of meaning, refuting arising by examining existence and non-existence, refuting the characteristics of each of the four conditions. First, there are two: the cause is the arising of a different entity
