Do not discard trees, and do not discard the wood for cleaning teeth. If discarded, it is a condemnable act, and a sign of disrespect and arrogance. Even when eating tooth wood, cover your mouth with your sleeve while eating. Similarly, do not sit on a cushion when the lama is standing or sitting. Do not walk back and forth in front without purpose, and do not wear only lower garments, without upper garments, nor take off your upper garment and expose your shoulders. To those who are older, of the same age, or younger than oneself, who are learned and upholders of vows, one should be respectful in body and speech, and respectful in mind. Fourth, what should be done after the afternoon? After washing or cleaning one's hands, utensils such as water pots and earthenware should be cleaned, free from living beings and dust. The water to be used in the morning should also be filtered as before, examined carefully, and water that is free from living beings, etc., should be taken. Before ten or five years have passed since ordination, one is not allowed to reside without a designated residence. Therefore, the Buddha has taught that monks are not allowed to reside even for one night without a residence. Therefore, one should not reside without being designated or requested by the abbot or other teachers of residence. If the abbot or others are not present, then in the place where one will reside, one should request a virtuous monk, or one who is skilled in the Dharma and Vinaya, or one who is able to tame and instruct, and then reside. The bedding of the Sangha, such as cushions, beds, and stools, should not be used excessively. One should not sit or lie down without a cushion, without mindfulness of impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and peace, for if one does so, the fault is very great. If one sits and lies down with such mindfulness, there is no fault. Furthermore, cleaning and washing tooth wood, washing hands and feet, drinking water, going to urinate and defecate, and prostrating to the images of the body displayed in the inner sanctuary, there is no fault in doing these things without asking the abbot and teacher. Other than that, if an ascetic sews clothes, reads, meditates, or does other things that should be reported, if one does anything without asking the abbot or other teachers, then one will incur a minor offense for each thing done.

Oh, that's it. In the evening, the practitioner prostrates to stupas and Buddha images, etc. He requests the Khenpo and others not to sleep in the evening and at dawn. After that, the Khenpo, disciples, and others wash the feet of the Lama with clean water. The disciplined Khenpo and other Lamas request permission for all the good deeds they do in the evening and at dawn, and after being granted permission, they wash both of their own feet with water. Dividing the night into three parts, they strive and persevere not to sleep in the first and last parts of the night. They strive to accomplish what the Lama has allowed them to do, so that they do not contradict the vows they have previously made, and they can be considered truthful speakers. If they do not do so, they will knowingly speak falsehoods. Even when sleeping in the middle of the night, they should not sleep without thinking, but should think like this: I will get up early tomorrow, and with the idea that all directions are illuminated by light, they should keep the idea in mind, lie down on their right side, like a lion. Like this, they should have the memory of getting up early and the idea of illumination, etc., and they should be respectful. Before going to sleep, they should also have the lineage of goodness, such as remembering the Three Jewels, so that their dreams will be auspicious and they will wake up quickly. Similarly, after waking up quickly, they should get up from bed in the last part of the night at dawn, and until dawn, they should study recitation and other activities as mentioned above. Fifth, concluding by stating the results of these: As mentioned above, if one practices the things to be adopted and abandoned properly, then the merits and results are: By seeing the reality of dependent origination, all the afflictions of one's own mind stream will be quickly exhausted and abandoned, and the result will be the attainment of the supreme and unsurpassed enlightenment from the three types of Bodhi. Thinking that one will attain it in this way, one should strive for its cause, and with constant diligence and respect, one should always strive for the learning of what to adopt and abandon, thus giving advice. Fourth, the meaning of the conclusion. The authorship statement of which teacher made it. The translator's statement of which translator translated it. First, the basis of everything, that is, the school that says there are five bases of knowable things.
