Therefore, I have spoken. Hearing it brings joy, like the sound of the drums of the gods. Contemplating it is profoundly meaningful, like the essence of nectar. Practicing it increases glory, like the precious jewels of the gods. The gods among humans are the supreme of ornaments. Those who govern the kingdom, may they be exalted by worldly glory, and not stray from the path of Dharma, may they attain true results through this. Whenever gods and non-gods fight, like the sound of the great drums of the gods, this treatise praises the virtuous, and merely hearing it makes the wicked disheartened. The essence of nectar that summons death, who other than the gods can drink it? Likewise, a person of good fortune will accept this principle, while those of lesser fortune will reject it. Whose body is adorned with divine jewels, for them, glories gather like clouds. Whoever practices this meaning, the goodness of Dharma and politics will surely gather. Therefore, even with the splendor of horses, elephants, and precious treasures arrayed in hundreds and thousands, it cannot compare to the birth of this priceless, excellent discourse. To you, Prince, I offer it with a joyful heart. You who have a mind to benefit all beings, full of compassion, a noble person, young one, may you in the future also bestow this nectar of excellent discourse upon the assembly of Dharma-abiding kings. You, and those who are now living and those who will be in the future, the royal families and other beings, whoever sees, hears, or thinks of this treatise, may they be endowed with all the virtues mentioned herein. From the Treatise on Law, the Ornament of Protecting the Earth, the Twenty-first Chapter: An Analysis of Abiding in the Law and the Merits of the Treatise on Law. This garland of excellent discourses, collected from the jewels of the wise, such as kings and princes, having been worn around the necks of the royal families, should be read and contemplated daily. Even when the darkness of the degenerate age is extremely thick, the excellent light of the moon of altruism will not fade. May this intention of urging and composing benefit the teachings and beings in due time. May the kingdom of the Dharma-abiding king flourish, and through that power, may the glory of the teachings and beings increase, and through that, may all beings filling the sky attain the kingdom of the Dharma Lord, the Victorious One. Auspicious wishes, merit.

At the time of ripening, may the good habits be awakened from childhood. You, as the king of humans, are well-arranged by the gods, may all your desired life be fulfilled! Possessing the vigor of the rising red and yellow sun, you are the treasure of wisdom of all Buddhas, as prophesied by the Buddhas to be the protector of taming the royal lineage, may you be granted wisdom and glory in upholding this treatise! Overwhelming the beauty of countless new moons, never blinking, is the lord of compassion himself. With the manner of these words, accompanied by the good light of love, may it easily enter the hearts of beings! Possessing a body as unbearable as melted turquoise butter, holding the wisdom vajra that destroys the armies of demons. May those who uphold this treatise generate confidence in their hearts, and increase the power to overcome all directions! Possessing a radiance like molten gold, the protector who is well-known as the essence of the earth, wherever this treatise flourishes, may he increase the treasure of wealth and prosperity! May the blessings of all Buddhas with their sons, make those who see, hear, remember, touch, and hold this Dharma, auspicious, prosperous, perfect, and may all their Dharma-related wishes be fulfilled as desired! Thus, this treatise called "The King's Law Treatise: The Ornament that Protects the Earth," is written by a certain prince, who was born like a great Sala tree due to the power of aspiration, who from a young age revealed undisguised holy conduct, who was extremely devoted to noble etiquette, who had an unwavering aspiration to pursue the sacred Dharma, who had extremely broad eyes of wisdom, and who had pure intentions to benefit the unbiased teachings and sentient beings, adorned with praiseworthy qualities like an ocean, and who was enthroned on the fearless lion throne by the gods who protect the white side. At the request of Lama Ngawang Jampel Rinchen, the Sakya ruler of Dokham Derge (德格), and accompanied by offerings of fine divine substances, in order to make the King's Law Treatise concise in content, and without fear of numerous words, easily understood by both the wise and the foolish, so that it may become a remedy for the beings of the degenerate age, it was printed at his earnest urging. This treatise contains the Sutras and Tantras, as well as all
