The appearing of the wheel of the mandala of one taste is the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body). The skillful display of these two being inseparable, appearing to other beings as forms and activities to be tamed, is the wisdom of compassion and power, which is the Nirmanakaya (emanation body). Thus, the three kayas gathered by one's own continuum, which are united as one taste in the essence of the union of dharmadhatu and wisdom, is the Svabhavikakaya (essence body). It abides as the great self-nature of the spontaneously accomplished four kayas. Moreover, through the power of the two form kayas gathered by one's own continuum, it shows limitless forms of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya to the bodhisattvas on the bhumis and to the assembly of sentient beings, thus accomplishing their benefit. Second, the way of liberation through distinction: From the Mirror of the Heart, it is said, "The one who is perfectly awakened is awakened without any remainder of aggregates." Thus it is said. When subtle and coarse afflictions and the substantiality of the elements' aggregation are purified, the essence expands into the kaya, so the three kayas are inseparable. When the self-nature expands into the wisdom of knowing, wisdom is inseparable. When compassion expands into the activity of action, compassion is uninterrupted. From the Space, "Essence is emptiness and clarity, inseparable kaya. Self-nature is compassion, without partiality. Awakened in the great inseparability." And, "The cycle of grasping at characteristics is purified. Wisdom expands in the meaning of the kaya itself. That is also called Buddha." As it is said. Second, becoming enlightened in the intermediate state has three aspects: essence, distinctions, and taking the path. First, the essence of the intermediate state is that all appearances other than the original purity of the ground-dharmadhatu are the state of the intermediate state. These pure appearances of the ground appearing as wisdom are the dharmata intermediate state, and all the impure phenomena gathered from the six realms of delusion are the impure, deluded intermediate state. Moreover, the mind with its seeds, which arises from the original purity of the dharmadhatu and has not yet been perfected in the ground of appearance, is the intermediate state. Second, the distinctions: From the Root Tantra, "Distinctions have four aspects." Thus it is said: the intermediate state of the nature of birth and death, the intermediate state of dying, the intermediate state of dharmata, and the intermediate state of existence. First, the intermediate state of the nature of birth and death is from the completion of birth in the mother's womb until being struck by the disease of death. Second, the intermediate state of dying.

This is from the approach of death until the cessation of inner breath. The third, the Bardo of Dharmata, is from the cessation of inner breath, the appearance of the clear light, until the dissolution of the spontaneously accomplished appearance. The fourth, the Bardo of Existence, is from the dissolution of the spontaneously accomplished appearance until the establishment of the future existence. The third, the methods of taking the path for each, are shown by two: example and meaning. The example of the Bardo of the birth place, like cutting off doubts and entering the muster roll, the meaning is to rely on the supreme Lama, and to diligently strive to hear, contemplate, and meditate on the meaning of the instructions taught by the Lama, thereby cutting off doubts. Similarly, in the Bardo of dying, like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror, it is that the instructions previously meditated upon become clear in the mind at this time. In the Bardo of Dharmata, like a mother embracing her child, trusting in self-appearance, it is that the meaning of the instructions is integrated into experience, so that no matter how the appearances of Dharmata arise, there is no fear, and confidence arises in the self-appearance as the play of wisdom. In the Bardo of Existence, like continuing the karma, building a dam on a broken irrigation ditch, no matter how confused appearances and fears arise, by the habituation of the past and the key points of the instructions being taught at this time, one enters the path of pure existence and connects them. These are also said to have three levels of liberation according to the order of faculties, and should be understood in detail as explained elsewhere. The third, for those with inferior faculties, is to relax in the realm of the self-nature Nirmanakaya and thereby attain Buddhahood, as it is said in the 'Self-Appearance': "The person who sees the truth, Even if realization is not born in the continuum, In the realms of the ten directions of emanation, Residing, they will ultimately attain liberation." As it is said, although the direct meaning is seen here, those who have not gained stability and have become interrupted in their practice, those who do not correspond to the degree of liberation in the Bardo, although the Bardo of Dharmata appears, they do not recognize it, and the Bardo of Existence appears only as a confused appearance in a dream. However, by the blessing of the truth of Dharmata and the compassion of the lineage of Vidyadharas, only a part of the dream appearance is taken as birth in a pure realm where joy and so on appear, seeing the faces of the Tathagatas, hearing the teachings, receiving empowerment and transmission, hearing relaxation, liberating from the bonds of afflictions, and reaching the primordial realm.
