Having great joy and striving diligently in practice is excellent faith; having a special longing for the fruit to be accomplished is aspiring faith; having no doubt about cause and effect is trusting faith; not being robbed by temporary circumstances is ultimate faith, thus possessing all the causes for blessings to enter. Having a firm and unwavering commitment of courage to accomplish unsurpassed enlightenment. Because of the clear wisdom that understands the profound meaning of reality, it is easy to generate experience and realization. Having little attachment to worldly comforts and wealth such as food and clothing. Because of great respect for the lama and the yidam deity, one possesses all the doors for blessings to enter. Because one has cut off the doubts and hesitations about the path of secret mantra, one enters into profound conduct. Because one's mind does not dwell on ordinary thoughts such as attachment, hatred, and ignorance, one is free from distraction. Having taken vows of root and branch and not transgressing them, one's commitment is firm. Having no weariness in meditating on the profound path, and not deviating from what the lama has said. Therefore, one should take a disciple with these characteristics as the object of explanation. In the text it says: Ema! Faith, compassion, generosity, and giving are very vast. The faculties are sharp, the speech is gentle and subdued, and one speaks words well. One has great respect for the lama, and one's words are ornate. One does not speak even a speck of unexamined secret words to others. One should strive to practice this. Because this is a secret vessel of secret mantra. Thus it was said. Secondly, regarding the conducive conditions for practice, there are three: place, time, and equipment. The first is: In "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it says: In the midst of snow mountains, empty valleys, mountaintops, or cemeteries, in a very secluded, clear, and high place, is the place where fortunate individuals practice. Thus it was said. The place itself is auspicious, with little traffic and noise from people, without fear of thieves and so on, and the local deities are pure towards the Dharma. Water, trees, and other conducive conditions are complete. The water is beneficial to the body, and it is a place blessed by the lama and dakinis. One should rely on a secluded place. The second is: From the previous one: The time of late summer and autumn, and late winter and spring, the time of the two rays is said to be supreme. Thus it was said. Because at that time the coolness and warmth are moderate, the causes of dullness and agitation are few, and especially the two rays of sunrise and sunset will transform into causes for the arising of wisdom, therefore it is said to be the time of introduction. Incidentally, the characteristics of a friend.

That instruction, compared to the previous one, has a greater appearance of pure vows and purity. The five poisons are less, the mind is stable, and the heart is broad. It is patient and associates with loving friends. Relying on virtuous friends, one attains Dharma-filled enlightenment. Therefore, one should rely on those who have experience in profound path meditation, or if not, one should rely on those who are peaceful and gentle, with pure vows, increasing pure appearances, with fewer afflictions, and with great compassion, who are not weary of arranging favorable conditions. The third is, as it says in the same text, "Flowers, offerings, tsokhor, torma materials, when practicing, seek to nourish the body's support, and possess all favorable items." Therefore, the objects of offering, the materials for the dakini tsok torma, food that is compatible with one's body, medicine, and dispelling evil spirits, etc., one should prepare in that place so that there are no distractions. Third, there are three ways to teach guidance from the perspective of pith instructions: generating certainty from the perspective of history, maturing from the perspective of empowerment, and teaching practice from the perspective of pith instructions. The first is, in the "Sun and Moon Union Sutra," it says, "If the meaning of the history is not explained, for this great secret definitive teaching, it will become the fault of disbelief." Also, in the "Vast Expanse of Clarity Sutra," it says, "In order to generate certainty for the fortunate ones, the history of the lineage should be explained." How should it be explained? In the "Vast Expanse of Clarity Sun Tantra" and others, it says, "The lineage is close and profound, the source is reliable, and it is explained sequentially from Kuntuzangpo." Thus, there are three: the Buddha's Mind Transmission, the Vidyadhara's Symbolic Transmission, and the Individual's Oral Transmission. First, the Buddha's Mind Transmission is: In the primordial realm, the nature of all dharmas is originally pure, from the expanse free from all extremes of elaboration, the Bhagavan Glorious Kuntuzangpo, father and mother, arose as the spontaneously accomplished wisdom body, and in the retinue of self-appearance, the five Buddha families and the princes and bodhisattvas, etc., not from a retinue other than themselves, the Great Perfection beyond words, names, and actions, was taught in equality at all times in an inexpressible way, and that is how it is. As it is said, "The teacher Kuntuzangpo, father and mother, not from a vessel of mind other than themselves, the master of blessings." Second, the Vidyadhara's Symbolic Transmission is: The Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, in the charnel ground, the place where the fire mountain blazes
