is. On the cushion, place both legs together. Sit in a squatting position with both hands crossed on the ground, encircling the knees, or comfortably place both hands on the thighs. Keep the spine straight and pull the shoulders upwards. With the eyes in the manner of a straight ascetic meditating, slightly closed, gaze into space. This will temporarily generate warmth in the body, and ultimately it is necessary for illusions to appear in the pure realm. By doing so, the first posture purifies the elements by returning them to their natural state. The second posture controls the moving winds. The third posture generates warmth and balances the elements. Ultimately, one will be liberated into the three kayas and attain nirvana. As it is said in the Sudden Enlightenment Vajra Lines: The sitting posture of the Dharmakaya is like a lion, free from all fear of illusion, one will see with the vajra eye. The sitting posture of the Sambhogakaya is, relying on the reclining of an elephant, enjoying the meaning of dharmata, one will see with the lotus eye. The sitting posture of the Nirmanakaya is, relying on the squatting of a straight ascetic, the appearance of dharmata is self-manifested, one will see with the Dharma eye. Thus it is said. Although the wisdom of awareness resides in the body, if one does not grasp the key points of the skillful body, it cannot be manifested to the senses. For example, although a snake has limbs, it is not visible unless it is coiled. Regarding speech, reduce the amount of speaking to four, three, two, or one times a day, and eventually abandon all speech except for hand gestures, and train in non-conceptual recitation. As it is said in the Sudden Enlightenment Vajra Lines: The recitation and abiding of speech, should be indicated by recitation. So it is. The key point of the wind is, for the ordinary, unmodified breath, the lips should be slightly closed, and one should practice slightly holding back the breath exhaled from the mouth. As it is said in the Sudden Enlightenment Vajra Lines: The wind should generally be slow, if an act of violent agitation arises, it will sever the connection between body and mind, and will not belong to the three realms. Slow wind and awareness will accomplish wisdom. So it is. The key point of the mind is, as it is said in the Sudden Enlightenment Vajra Lines: The mind is accomplished by focusing on the dharmadhatu. Therefore, one should look at the three spaces. That is, the secret space (藏文:ཙིཏྟ་ཤའི་སྒྲོན་མ་,梵文天城体:citta śāyi śroṇamā,梵文罗马拟音:citta shayi shronama,汉语字面意思:心卧灯), from within the dark blue tent of the heart, the one called the ocean of channels, the golden sun, the dharmadhatu.

Gradually, forty-two peaceful deities, fifty-eight wrathful deities, and other forms of one's own chosen deity that one meditates on will appear. Moreover, in short, wherever one looks, countless manifestations of deity forms and letters will appear. All these appearances are not established separately in the external world. Rather, they are the very essence of one's own awareness, naturally inherent from the beginning. By relying on the key points of the illusory wheel, they are subdued, just as the owner's face appears in a clean silver mirror. In any case, when these appearances occur, do not generate joy or pride. When they do not appear, abandon all hopes and doubts, such as hoping for them to appear. It is crucial to expand in non-grasping awareness. For beginners, it is important to first focus on the posture of the Dharmakaya, facing west in the morning, east in the afternoon, and north at noon. To facilitate the appearance of wisdom's light, combine the two eyes and face east in the morning and west in the afternoon. Do not look directly at the sun, but look about a cubit below it. In this way, the external space-awareness that arises and the internal awareness should not be seen as separate, as object of seeing and the seer, but should be placed equally in the union, clear and non-conceptual space. In the morning, practice the Dharmakaya lion posture, at noon the elephant posture, and in the afternoon the sage posture. If one wishes to learn the seven branch postures after mastering these three root postures, the root text states: Tiger, vomit, garuda, and person, Fox, vulture, giant, and six, Crocodile posture, seven key body points. Therefore, the seven postures starting from the first tiger posture should be learned from the mouth of an experienced master, according to the meaning of the root instructions. When practicing, to eliminate the causes of heat and cold in the eyes, if heat increases and the eyes are hot, soak Kashmiri saffron in clean water, without removing the taste. Grind wool without oil into fine powder, moisten the eyes with urine, and at night, look at the moonlight to eliminate it. If tears flow due to the fault of increased cold, take out one's own earwax, clean the hands, mix it with saliva, apply it to the inside of the eyelids, and at night, look at the light of a butter lamp.
