By the phrase, "Sitting perfectly upright, physical exercise benefits the mind," one learns the preliminary of the body, which is the vajra posture. By the phrase, "Speech abides in the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), expanding and practicing it, entering the path of gentleness and seeking, speech exercise benefits the mind," as a preliminary for speech, expanding and practicing both external appearances and internal aggregates, each twice, and gently seeking and entering the path, totaling six aspects. By the phrase, "The mind, first where it arises from, in the middle where it abides, and finally where it goes, like that, by examining and analyzing the three, mind exercise knows the nature of the mind," as a preliminary for mind, examining the three aspects of mind's arising, abiding, and going. Like that, one should master the preliminaries of the three doors (body, speech, and mind). Second, the main part, as stated in the "String of Pearls": "Practicing Trekchö and Tögal." Of the two, the first part is the path of Trekchö, which reveals the nature of original purity: By exhaustively searching with the three, arising, abiding, and ceasing, without finding anything, when everything becomes nakedly empty, maintaining that state, recognizing the nakedly empty awareness, and the key to maintaining that state is to settle the mind in the rootless and baseless original purity, all appearances and thoughts are in original liberation, practicing with the great Trekchö. That is to say, the present awareness, free from memory, thought, fabrication, and artifice, that very bright, empty, and open state, is the intention of the Dharmakaya, original purity, introduced as self-arisen wisdom, this is called directly introducing the nature. Without prior or subsequent thoughts, the present awareness is in a state that is neither one nor many, maintaining a state of clarity, emptiness, openness, and brightness, this is called cutting through at once. Like waves dissolving into water, self-arising and self-liberating, thoughts and feelings dissolve into the base without a trace, this is called settling in confident liberation. The Secret Sound Tantra says: "Without prior or subsequent thoughts, clear, empty, and bright, this very present awareness, from this recognize the Dharmakaya endowed with four bodies." And, "Liberated by itself, there is no antidote, by seeing, it vanishes into its own place." Like that, the meaning that has been determined is considered to contain all the key points of the Great Perfection Mind Series. Like this, the Perfectly Complete Buddha summarized the Mind Series into three ways and taught it, which is practicing a single Mind Essence word.

The nature of speech, free from conceptualization and without error, is spoken in the manner of oral instruction; the connection with the tantric transmission, the nature of which transcends the agent and the action, is used as a path, and is spoken in a scattered manner; all the words and instructions that arise from the tantras clearly reveal their source, and in particular, what is determined by the nature of reality is spoken in the manner of the tantra's own treatise. The meaning of these three is: here, it is included in looking at the nature of mind, which has no origin or originator, is without foundation, and is free from grasping, in a state of naturalness, without fabrication or adulteration. Therefore, look in this way, this is the instruction. If that tantric treatise itself is divided, it is spoken in the manner of a string of stars dispelling obstacles, showing the nature of reality and thus dividing the boundaries of samsara and nirvana; it is spoken in the manner of hanging on a mountaintop, pervading the basis without elaboration, so that the three realms appear as complete liberation regardless of good or bad karma; it is spoken in the manner of revealing the hidden, without clinging to any hope because there is nothing to be obtained; it is spoken in the manner of self-clarity, not abiding in any philosophical extreme because it transcends sound and words. The meaning of these four is: here, it is included in placing the mind without dwelling or dweller, without support, and free from location, in a state free from grasping, without acceptance or rejection. Therefore, rest in this way, this is the instruction. If that self-clear explanation is divided, it is spoken in the manner of the pith instruction section, turning delusion back to the basis; it is spoken in the manner of the essential points section, in the way of chasing after the deluded one; it is spoken in the manner of the pith instruction section, with the single, free from elaboration, so that there are no multiple parts, and the bindu arrives at its own essential point. The meaning of these three is: here, it is included in letting go in the nature of mind, which has no place to go or goer, in the state of clear emptiness without trace. Therefore, let go in this way, this is the instruction. If that bindu's own essential point is divided, the outer circle extensively shows terminology, like the body; the inner circle is like the eye, the dharma of symbolic vision; the secret circle is like the heart, the dharma of retention; the most secret and unsurpassed shows it as like the complete person of the body. There are four of these. The meaning of these is also here, in the Vajrasattva Heart Mirror Tantra: In order to recognize that wisdom arises from the ground and enters the path, one must know the twenty-one introductions, including the introduction of examples and meanings. Thus, the introduction of the example of the most secret and unsurpassed.
